Born in 1963, Portuguese ceramicist Paulo Alves now lives and works in Spain. To our great excitement he recently contacted us to see if we might be interested in showing his work ...how could we refuse! His delicate style and earthy tones are masterfully executed, and are already proving to be a popular addiFon to our ceramics collecFon. Paulo started his career in 1987, aIending courses in Spain and Portugal from 1987 to 2005, in various areas of ceramics. He studied alongside professional ceramicists including Macho Porto, Juan Carlos Santos, José Antonio Sarmiento, Manuel Keller, Emidio Galassi and Arcadi Blasco.
