THE EOS
Professor Raymond Huff Fall 2017 Partners: Rachel Smoak, Shane Lenard Our goal was to create a landmark in the West Ashley community, not only in its civic nature, but in its physical presence as well. This theatre would serve as a beacon to those traveling to West Ashley and give the site new life. The structure would be an illuminated object, welcoming patrons. The long porch serves as a lookout to the outdoor spaces and gardens. Inside, the folds and creases of the theatre space isolate the performance from the bustle of the busy intersection. At the top, the folded form emerges from its glass display case; giving the site the iconic presence it deserves.

BETTER BLOCK REYNOLDS AVENUE
Professor BD Wortham-Galvin Fall 2018 Master’s of Resilient Urban Design Through temporary, low risk interventions, tactical urbanism can be used to yield high rewards. In order to promote the revitalization of Reynolds Avenue, N. Charleston, SC, we assisted in designing and implementing our own streetscape interventions. At the same time, we used this as an opportunity to understand the daily needs of the community and how they might struggle to access the amenities provided to other areas in the Lowcountry.
