TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE NNHS HIGHLY recommends all hunters buy trip/cancellation insurance. Most cancellations happen less than six months before the trip is to take place, and by then the majority of deposits are completely non-refundable. The decision is yours and your responsibility. Please note if you purchase trip/cancellation insurance for your hunt from TravelGuard, they offer additional coverage benefits if the insurance is purchased within 15 days of NNHS receiving your deposit. We will also included a TravelGuard brochure! If you are hunting internationally, including Canada and Mexico, you may need to use a Wildlife Broker to aid you in the import/export process of getting your sport~hunted trophy back to the United States and on to your taxidermist. Laws and requirements governing the import and export of wildlife trophies change all the time. Choosing a well-known, reputable Wildlife Broker BEFORE your scheduled hunt can help you with the procedure of getting your trophies and what you will need to do both before and after your hunt. Make sure you insure your trophy shipment for replacement cost of your hunt in case of damage or theft of your trophies! The cost is 1% to 1.7% of value. Buy the insurance BEFORE you go!
