Maintenance & Cleaning The ArOmis diffuser is very easy to maintain and will last a long time if properly cared for. Keep a bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol, or grain alcohol handy when using the diffuser. Alcohol should be used to clean the bottle regularly to keep oil from thickening and clogging the diffuser tubes. Alcohol can also be used to wipe off the wood base. If the diffuser will not be used for more than a few days, it is best to clean the diffuser bottle. To fast clean the bottle between oil changes:

•Remove the bottle from the base and dispose of the remaining oil or put it in an old essential oil bottle. • Drop 10 to 20 drops of alcohol into the bottle and put the bottle back on the base. bottom of the diffuser bottle. • Place a wet rag over the bottle and diffuse the alcohol inside until the bottle looks clean. • Shake the bottle with the remaining alcohol to clear out any remaining water or oil and then dump the alcohol.

To deep-clean the bottle:

• Remove it from the base, place it in a cup and pour in enough rubbing alcohol or hot until discoloration in tubes is gone. • If water is used, clean the bottle out with rubbing or grain alcohol to remove water. * Using only water to clean your unit may leave white spots on the inside of your diffuser bottle. Use alcohol after a water wash to clear away any extra water or oil.

Q: What essential oils can be used in the All essential oils can be used however thick honeylike oils like Myrrh and Sandalwood will not diffuse unless diluted with high proof grain alcohol or other lighter oils. We suggest Everclear Alcohol found at most liquor stores. Q: I broke my glass cap, can I get a replacement? Yes, we offer a full array of replacement parts on our website: www.aromis.co. Q: Can any bottle be used with any base? Yes, all units are interchangeable.

No, each unit works exactly the same. The bottles may look different but the internal functional components are identical.

Q: There seems to be a little oil left at the What sho uld I do? If there is oil remaining at the bottom that is yellow or heavy, one simple trick is to add lavender oil. Lavender is incredibly light, blends with the other oils easily and dilutes heavy oil enough to effectively vaporize. You can also just wash the bottle out with rubbing alcohol if you don’t care to use it.

oil runs out? No, the unit will not be damaged if it runs dry, its not like a car. It will also not shut off when the oil runs out, the internal time will turn the unit off at

A simple summary: water units are mostly ArOmis unit only diffuses oil. Our unit is made of wood and glass, and most water units are plastic. This is mainly a concern because essential oils and plastics tend to be poor bedfellows. Oils stick to and corrode plastics and plastics tend to “change the nature of essential oil through chemical reaction. Functionally a lot of people like water units because they like the puff of more of a fundamentalist with regard to therapeutic use of oils and tend to just want oils, not water or lights. I think our unit is much prettier than the plastic ones and can be left in the main area of your house and look like a piece of art. The plastic ones seem to need to be hidden from sight. 14
