Motorola's Rapid Feedback Questions...

Page 1

* MOTOROLA QUESTIONS (group or individual reflection) FAST FEEDBACK FORM 1. What did we (I) do well?

2. What did we (I) not do well?

3. What did we (I) learn?

4. What will we (I) do better next time?

*The four questions above are attributed to the Motorola Company. They have been used repeatedly as a proven method for providing rapid feedback. A deliberate attempt to produce an alternative to previously more bureaucratic, and slower, processes and help improve overall productivity. Using the format of “open" questions empowers participants to apply both personal and professional analysis in thinking about their own, and therefore the organisations, experiences and learning. Facilitating a deeper exploration in a shorter and simple form. For a book reference please see Waterman: What America Does Right. Similiar solutions are used by many people and organisations today for reflection, review and sharing learning experiences. Likely inspired, in part at least, by the military “After Action Reviews” (AAR) practises such as these, used regularly and done quickly, aid practical evaluation and help generate new collective/individual knowledge.
