s an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am fully aware of the potentiality of me losing my life for Christ. While many avoid such conversations, I believe it’s simply a part of the Apostolic call. Many scriptures inform us of our responsibility to die for Christ. One in particular that resonates with me is the Apostle Paul’s second letter to his spiritual son Timothy where it states: “Thou, therefore, endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” 2 TIMOTHY 2:3-4 Paul’s letter to Timothy implicates all those who serve Christ are Soldiers. A Soldiers’ responsibility is to die. They die for the cause of the war on behalf of their commander in chief.
