ANTI-BULLYING AMBASSADORS


WHO ARE WE? ď‚—

We are a group of pupils who are, at the moment, in year 8-10 (we are always looking for more members, so if you are interested please come and see us after the assembly).

We help to prevent bullying here at Tuxford Academy.


WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE BEING BULLIED, OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS: TELL SOMEONE!!!!  Whether you tell your friends, family, teacher or one of us, telling someone is the first step to stop bullying.  Come and collect a form from college reception and fill it in.  Arrange a meeting with an Ambassador. 


IMPORTANT FACTS: Some forms of bullying are illegal. These include:  Violence or assault  Theft  Repeated harassment or intimidation like name calling, threats and abusive phone calls, emails or text messages  Hate Crimes  Cyber Bullying  VIP (Verbal, Indirect, Physical)  CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection - Internet Police) Every school have to have a behaviour policy in place that includes measures to prevent all forms of bullying. At Tuxford we take bullying so seriously that we have:  A Behaviour Policy  A separate Anti-Bullying Policy that has been agreed by students, parents, governors and staff


HOW TO IDENTIFY US: We wear Anti-Bullying Ambassador badges  For general info, look at our noticeboard in the Trent Gardens  We wear lanyards when on duty: 


WHERE DO YOU GO? Everyday there will be at least two Anti-Bullying Ambassadors on duty during lunchtime wearing the lanyard so you can identify them.  The rota to tell you who is on duty will be up on the noticeboard.  You can email or ask your tutor if you want to meet with an ambassador  Speak to any member of staff if you’re not sure 
