ABOUT
Hello there. As a designer of both architecture and sound, the one common goal that I pursue in both fields is the ability to create better opportunies for people experiencing my work. I believe that culture plays into the health of society just as much as the physical necessities of everyday life. That being said, with every project, I try to create art and architecture as a member of culture, rather than a producer of it.

S.E.L.F (ST. CLAIRE EDUCATION & LEARNING FACILITY)
1B
Located off of St. Clair Avenue in Toronto, Ontario, SELF focuses on providing the nearby community with a library and cultural center that incorporates bicycle storage, a Hacker’s Lab, an auditorium, and outdoor gathering space. The building is organized around a centralized ramp that serves as the library’s main functional goal: accessibility. The ramp (combined with low ceilings and close corners) creates a feeling of ascension and allows visitors to escape city life and lose themselves in the library. The bookshelves are also organized around the ramp to serve as partitions, creating private work space in the periphery of the building.

OFF THE GRID 1B
The Resolute Research Centre is a proposal for an off-grid sustainable research center suited for 2 individuals. Located in the small desolate town of Resolute, Nunavut, the building operates entirely off of its own energy supply, created by various green energy production methods. The building also embraces the local architecture and adapts with it, placing an emphasis on stone and gravel. In Collaboration with Rashad Ahmadli

FOLDINGS 1A
FOLDINGS was a response to the theme of “aggregation which dealt with the assembly of modular units into one cohesive whole. The art installation was comprised entirely of sugarcane bowls, which were folded, bent, morphed, and fastened together to create an unplanned, unprecedented final form. The end result is a piece that abides by a very loose set of connection types, which are more of a reflection of the individual bowl than they are the product of the creators. A MAKER’S SPACE 1A
A MAKER’S SPACE is an artist’s residence located by the Grand River in Cambridge, Ontario. The project serves as both living space and studio space for any artist - local or foreign. One of the key elements of the project is the idea of isolation. Situated in public park space beside the busy intersection of Cedar St. and Grand Avenue, the residence is subject to a great deal of public interaction. Thus, through the use of a pillar-grid system and a two story structure, both private and public aspects of the building are maintained. With the importance of designated working and living space, separation is also at the forefront of the design. The building’s lower spaces serve as a workshop and a gallery for the public, while the upper floor, together with a mezzanine retains a private space that is both comfortable and well integrated with the studio.

FLIGHT FUJI 1B
“Flight Fuji” was an entry for the SSEF/CISC Steel Building Design Competition which dealt with the theme of “assembly”. Placed at the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in Japan, the structure is oriented towards Mount Fuji, framing the mountain. The entire space is composed of entirely structural steel and structural glass, in an attempt to demonstrate the possibilities of an exposed steel structure, free of accessory façade. The use of tension cables is heavily emphasized in order to minimize the total floor area covered by the structure, producing a pagoda style interior that echoes the sacred temple at the heart of the island. In collaboration with Rashad Ahmadli Supervised by Terri Meyer Boake

MiNECRAFT ARCHITECTURE AS
I grew up building in minecraft, without fully appreciating the challenges it poses to the contemporary idea of architecture. One of the most significant design paradigm shifts that I think Minecraft holds is the idea of defying gravity. The question is essentially, “could there be a way of using the cantelever to change the ‘bottom up’ approach to architecture that is at the forefront of contemporary design?”
