typology experimentation
concept
The experimentation began when the design phase was to truly understand the typology itself and what where the true nature of it. In this the pavilion was a deep connection with the horizontal landscape denied any possibility of a direct contact with the sky. With this characteristic into account the rite of contemplating the landscape was a key factor as for the same composition of the program.

We were asked to design two house on two generic site where one was plain terrain and the other one in a cliff situation. Even if the program was a house, the typology was assigned randomly paired with a desirable geometrical pattern. In this case I had to design two symmetrical pavilion houses for a typical family composed of 4 members.

Patio bonito flexible housing
Concept Patio bonito neighborhood has one of Bogotรก highest density. One can find a couple a families in a single apartment. Due to this density problem we decided to propose a very flexible housing unit system where the owner can adapt their house for their need making it a very versatile combination as a whole. The system as the end works as a huge hybrid building between a dialogues of the need of Patio Bonito. We obtain a combination of housing used for commercial purpose to the traditional house design. The flexibility not only works in the program itself but also gives liberty to compose their faรงade system to potentialize the relationship between program and relationship with the outside.

Sydney cbd hybrid building
This subject develops skills in the integration of diverse aspects of building towards more resolved and coherent design proposals. Techniques for development clear design strategies in response to complex briefs and ambitions are explored, including the use of diagrams, overlays and the presentation of alternatives. Through successive design iterations students learn the ability to control, test and manipulate heterogeneous and competing design parameters. The relevancy and clarity of the process of design development is considered as an integral part of the final outcome.

minuto de dios university master plan
Understanding the dynamics of the neighbourhood ‘Minuto de Dios’ is to understand a series of difficulties that represent a big problem all together. On one side, it is possible to see the invasion area by the river and the clear disregard with the body of water. Inhabitants have not recognised the river as a quality but as a sewer. Besides, the construction of an university in a sector originally conceived as a peripheral residential area generates inconvenient in terms of typologies and usages. People in the area are threatened by floods and also by the university development, which implies buying more land in the area to satisfy its need of infrastructure. That generates forced displacement. More infrastructure, more users. The floating population of the university invade the few parks developed for the neighbourhood. There is an increasing opening of shops to satisfy the demand of the student, destroying the residential environment. Our intervention is to generate a multiplatform with 5 acropolises recognising the necropolis and exalting the natural acropolis of Bogota, Monserrate and the mountains.

eco-offices in lima perĂş
Concept
Communication and information technology, as well as an ever increasing globalization implies a challenge to office design standards. Workplace strategy is no longer limited to the production activities of a company; instead it has become a source for corporative identity and organizational growth. The office is no longer the place to work, rather it is the place to communicate, innovate and share. The void is conceived as the focal point for this interaction, thus a courtyard is placed on every floor. This not only allows for the creation of co-working spaces but produces a set of open spaces which is most appropriate for natural ventilation, natural lighting and the presence of vegetation. Maximum optimization of the space!

ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE
We invaded a building in downtown Bogotá. Once inside we deployed small-scale paradoxical actions, à la Beistegui apartment by Le Corbusier, by knitting together windows or doors that can swiftly punctuate a corridor. This appropriation of a structure in the city allowed us to interrogate one of Bogotá’s most striking features: its bizarre ad infinitum phase construction, where everything is half built and nothing is finished. Algorithmic design and digital fabrication drived this workshop, enabling us to shrink down the city to a manageable human scale and giving us the power to fabricate a speculative Bogotá.

My task was to assist the final stage of all the “Alfa Sextantis master plan for the Colombian Army school in Cartagena Colombia. I had to develop various detailed section the buidlings proposed within the plan. In this case we see the Sport and Wellbeing building.
CEC competition
The CEC building closed competition proposed to reactivate a forgotten part of the National University of Colombia Campus. Our proposal features a ramp that crosses all the building. The result is a sum of small building inside a big shell connected by the ramp. The CEC becomes a multi-purpose building acting as a new circulation, meeting and study point inside the campus.

container house competition The competition was to design a beach house in Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach made with containers.
GRamalote’s Cultural house
Our approach was make a first floor as open as possible. The intented result was to make the public space enter the building and vice-versa. The pieces of the building placement also created a plaza that dwell with another institutional building in order the amplify our effect of open building.
