I love the colour in this image it looks really well the long flowing hair and the colour stands out in the drawing. The illustrator used pencil and computer programmes to create this image.

Drawing of lovely lady lying possessively on a Prada perfume bottle. The pencil-drawn diva reclining on a bottle of Prada perfume looks so different. Laine shows how the boundaries of photography can be pushed in postproduction. What might have been just another product image is literally brought to life with her whimsical illustrations and fluid lines that create long flowing locks on the feminine form.

All of her visuals represented the sheer love and desire for fashion that she herself beholds. Her drawings are intricate. Her predominant way of using the pencil so minutely in varied shades, that it clearly brings out the texture she wants to portray, be it fur, silk, tulle, leather and most importantly the hair on her models body. Her signature long mane mostly flows elegantly and delicately giving a beautiful movement to the complete body posture. Laura Laine is one of the few great fashion illustrators of today who don’t only have the talent to draw but also the imagination to bring out the unthinkable.

Fashionstalkeramandeepkaur's Blog “Combining two different Medias to create a fascinating new picture, the young artist has created some of the most sensuous and beautiful fashion illustrations of all times. Laura Laine fused her unique style of illustration with simple product photographs and brought them to life by making her delicate fashion figures have an enjoyable interaction with the fashion products, thus making the visual look like, almost straight out of a fashion lover’s dream.”

Examples of flat drawings These are some examples of digitally drawn flat drawings.
Each one shows in detail the requirements the garment needs. This makes it easier for design purposes for anyone making the garment up. I found this image on www.courtneytrowbridge.com.

MAXI DRESS • THIS IMAGE ON THE RIGHT IS AN ILLUSTRATION OF MY OWN THE TREND AND STYLE IDEA CAME FROM THIS MAXI DRESS FROM RIVER ISLAND.
My own illustrations This is my own illustration which I drew by had and scanned in then using www.pixlir I digitally coloured it. I used colours which are on trend and I got the dress design from my research into riverisland.co.uk and I also tried to draw my design using the idea of Laura laine’s work were she uses big hair.
Using pixlir I used the smudge tool in pixlir after adding colours to create a pattern.
I changed the colours in the design and made them look different.
My illustrations After researching and looking more into Laura laines work I have drawn my own illustrations and used her signature big hair motto when drawing my designs and they turned out really well.
Another of my own illustrations
Conclusion • I chose Laura Laine as I really enjoyed looking at her work it was really different and fun to explore. I loved how she used photographs and her own drawings together to create a brilliant piece of work. I looked at a lot of her work and chose the pieces which I liked to look at and described it a bit further. I also created illustrations basing them on Laura's illustrations by using big hair on the illustrations that I drew. Nicole mc kenna
