Useful advice for teaching writing

Explain writing topics with concrete material.

Create a comic, for example, if you are dealing with capitalization, make a comic about capitalization and periods, commas, etc., telling a story. Provide comfortable spaces to share ideas about what you want to write. Give constant review of grammar. Relate the topics to students' daily experiences, for example, if you are explaining the narrative paragraph, you can say that every time we buy an appliance or a cell phone when we read its functions, we are reading a descriptive paragraph.
