The unplanned and inevitable exponential growth of Ilhabela brings with it inherent challenges to any exacerbated expansion. The drowning of mobility systems and the threat to the caiçara cultural identity are challenges that motivated the birth of this project, which embraces, in a large architectural axis, the necessary structure to meet the high demand for alternative transportation means in a context where fauna and flora do not require any structural intervention for roads - while flourishing as a cultural tourism and exhibition center that, as an object of tribute, will house part of the caiçara history and identity to preserve and honor the pillars of the region's identity construction.

More than just a pier and more than just a museum, the Maritime Terminal aims to become part of the city's imaginary, being of fundamental relevance not only structurally for mobility but also a focal point that brings together the essence of the island.
