KALA | THEATRE IN NEW YORK

Located at 4th East Street and Bowery in New York, the site spans 9546 sq.ft. I was inspired by small urban public spaces that offer respite from New York’s frenetic pace. With its dense urban fabric of high-rises and narrow streets causing environmental and urban stress, my project aims to create an accessible social haven amidst the city’s bustle.

THE EXPANSION GAME

The studio course focused more on architectural expansion as a subcategory of game theory utilizing models of strategic intervention in developing an existing case study building. Every module has different learnings about the project – Research, gathering ideas through collages, research on materials, forms, and function, and producing details of each expansion. The library is located in Brazil, Sao Paulo. The expansion focused on designing the pods for the different subjects as discussions. Example-pod for math, physics, chemistry, business workshop, and discussion. Pods can change their function according to the requirement. Moreover, the dome above the auditorium is for indigenous plant study.

Aim : To research the internal and external built environment for mentally disabled in particular, about disorder – AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER

Children with disability have the right to get the best education & core guidance to become fully prepared to step into society & become active members of the Indian community so that they can contribute to the development. To surround them in a comfortable environment that would nourish & provide them to cope up with the society independently. For that, this research is to study their behavior & how to surround them in a comfortable environment. Research for this project focuses on two primary issues: architectural elements affecting behavior modification and increased independence accomplished through physical plant modifications. With regard to behavior modification, it appears that the element of color and Variation of natural lighting could facilitate change through aesthetic enhancement.
