PRIVATE AREA SEMI PUBLIC SETBACK
ZONING The building is divided into 2 main zoning category. The first category is semi public/semi private area where most daily activities occurs. This area consist of living area, kitchen, and dining area. While for private area for the owner/occupant, should provide privacy.

ACCESS The main road is located at the south site, meaning the only access to the site is from south. This condition cause the parking area should be placed in the south area.

CONTEXT The site is adjacent to the neighboring site, leaving a very small space to design. Assuming the neighbor will build a house with 2-storey high, it will block east and west side of our building. This condition cause the possible opening is placed on south or north.
VENTILATION SETBACK
VENTILATION To respond the ventilation issue, an additional setback is created at east side of the building. This setback work as entrance and area for air to flow. Even if there only small wind occurance, this opening will transfer building heat to outside and move upward.

BACKGROUND
An eldery couple are about to live the rest of their life in calm rural area. Therefore, they are going to build a house. The site area is estimated around 220 sqm and located near lake area with slight slope contour. The eldery couple expect the house to be a simple one storey building with view to the lake.
