213 PROCESS MODEL 01 OBSERVATIONS ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS: Yes the model reflects certain keywords that have been mentioned earlier. As seen from the top view, there is a void found in the middle of the model. The density decreases at the middle. There is a high density in the different areas of the model. This model has “proportion”, “balance”, “variations” and “rhythm”. However, it could be further improved if the contrast and depth was more emphasised on.
FORM EXPRESSION I like the part where the cardboard was attached to one another by the “Mortise and Tenom” Interlocking with one another. The part I dislike is the part where there too many wooden skewer sticks placed upright which is boring. The interlocking shows the different ways on how a structure can achieve its stability. As mentioned, the model looks attractive in how the planes interlock and the wooden skewer sticks placed in different directions. It shows a variety of ways that a structure can achieve its stability. The planes are arranged where there is a difference in density throughout the model. It closely resembles the framework to a large extent. The thick outlines of the framework and the clustered portion shows the high density, as reflected also in the model.
STRUCTURAL STABILITY The model has wooden skewer sticks pierced through from the top to bottom and interlocking of planes, this enables stability of the model throughout. The way the planes are connected have effects on the stability of the model. The model is likely to be more unstable when the planes are placed diagonally. The last thing, when all the skewer sticks are pierced through the card board in the same direction, the structure is unlikely to be able to stand on its own.
213 PROCESS MODEL 02 OBSERVATIONS ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS: This model has reflected some of the keywords mentioned earlier. There is “density”, “rhythm”, “ balance”, “depth”. However, the model could be further improved if there was the proportion was followed more strictly. Contrast and variations could emphasised more during the model making.
FORM EXPRESSION I like the part of the model where the big square falls into place perfectly and still being able to be supported well. The model has a mix and match of small planes to large planes. Although the big square is heavy, it is able to be supported by wooden skewer sticks, without having it to touch the ground. This is attractive in a way to me. This model resembles the framework to a huge extent. The plane has a shape of the remote control found in the framework. how the planes are arranged accordingly and little void in the middle is followed.
STRUCTURAL STABILITY Relying only on wooden skewer sticks without any form of adhesives allowed, I managed to hold the model together with different ways on how the wooden skewer sticks should be placed to provide structure stability. I thought through on how the planes should be arranged and how the sticks should be pierced. I tried interlocking the planes together and it worked. It played a role of upright support while the other wooden skewer sticks were pierced in different directions. The planes that had bigger scale was a problem. It was more heavy than the rest of the planes so more sticks were used to secure it. And the bigger planes had more than 3 sticks piercing through it. .
213 PROCESS MODEL 03 OBSERVATIONS
ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS: The model reflects the ‘depth’, ‘rhythm’, ‘balance’ and ‘density’ that is mentioned at the initial observations made. However there are portions that can be further improved by following more closely to the keywords. Proportion of the model could be improved.
FORM EXPRESSION I like how the wooden skewer sticks pierce through the thin sides of the cardboard. It is a different way to put the planes. It is attractive to me as the planes are placed differently, it creates a large variation from planes that are placed diagonally, horizontally, vertically to how the plane is placed resting on its side. This model resembles the framework to a large extent. Shapes are followed closely and the void in the middle is followed.
STRUCTURAL STABILITY One of the planes is resting on one of its side, The way the lines or planes are connected, diagonally and horizontally. The wooden skewer sticks are placed upright sticking through the planes, allowing the structure to hold firmly to the ground. However, some wooden skewer sticks are placed diagonally sticking through the planes to allow the support and balance of planes that are placed diagonally. The different way of placing the planes and wooden skewer sticks provide a complete stability for the structure.
DENSITY Density is how close the planes are compacted together and the number of planes that can be found in a particular point.
Quantity The higher the quantity of planes found at a particular point, the higher the density. The lower the quantity of planes found at a particular point, the lower the density.
Repetition Some planes of the same shapes may be repeated in the model twice or thrice. For example, the elongated parts of the model has been repeated.
Rhythm Rhythm is the repetition of the number or planes that can be found in the model and the recurrence of the same planes.
Flow Some patterns may be repeated in the model. The model have interlocking and lines through the planes. For example creating an arch formation.
Proximity The closer the planes are together, the more compact they are, the higher the density. The further away the planes are from each other, the less compact they are, the lower the density.
213 PROCESS MODEL 03 OBSERVATIONS
ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS: Yes. The model reflects the more outstanding keywords such as flow, repetition and quantity. It is reflected clearly in the model as there’s a flow of an arch. However the model could be further improved if there was contrast.
FORM EXPRESSION I like the void in the model. In relation with the A2 collage, it reflects a void as well. However I dislike the middle part where the two planes are connected by a line. The form is attractive with the volumes jutting out at different sides. The model resembles the framework to a large extent.
STRUCTURAL STABILITY I ensured the stability of the structure by connecting the planes to planes by lines intersecting at a horizontal way. There’s also a plane resting by its side ensuring more stability in the model. If the lines are too upright in the model, the model would have difficulty in achieving its stability. To tackle that problem, lines and planes are placed in a different way.
SPATIAL QUALITY (NEW) As observed, there is a space right in the middle of the model. A void. A wide and tall space. Yes. The void in the middle captures my attention when I first look at the model.

213 PROCESS MODEL 04 OBSERVATIONS
ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS: Yes. The model reflects certain keywords such as flow, repetition, quantity and density. However it could be further improved if there was a stronger contrast.
FORM EXPRESSION I like the part of the model where there is a void in the middle. And the part where the planes are supported by the volumes. Although the planes may be arranged in a boring way, the void captures my attention first when I look at the model. The model resembles the framework to a large extent.
STRUCTURAL STABILITY Structure stability is ensured by placing lines through planes not only in a vertical upright position but also diagonally and horizontally. If too many lines are placed upright, there would be a difficulty in achieving structure stability.
SPATIAL QUALITY (NEW) The void. It is tall and wide space found in the middle of the model. The void captures my attention.
213 PROCESS MODEL 05 OBSERVATIONS SHOWING MATERIAL CONSIDERATION ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS: The model has reflected certain keywords. Outstanding keywords such as, flow, repetition, quantity. However it could be further improved if the keyword “contrast” could be more emphasised on.
FORM EXPRESSION I like the part where there is a void in the middle. The void in the middle separates the planes and creating a space in the middle. In relation with A2 collage, it also shows a void in the middle.
STRUCTURAL STABILITY Lines were placed in a variation of horizontal, vertical, and diagonal to ensure structure stability. There is a plane resting on one of its side to ensure greater stability of the model.
SPATIAL QUALITY (NEW) The void in the middle creates a tall and wide space in the model. It stands out in the model and the first point of attraction when I look at the model itself.
213 FINAL MODEL 03 OBSERVATIONS ALIGNMENT TO KEYWORDS: Yes. The model reflects the more outstanding keywords. It is reflected clearly in the model as there’s a flow of an arch. The model has followed the keywords closely, where density and rhythm is involved.
FORM EXPRESSION I like the void in the model. In relation with the A2 collage, it reflects a void as well. The form is attractive with the volumes jutting out at different sides. The model resembles the framework to a large extent.
STRUCTURAL STABILITY There was difficulty ensuring stability of the model after considering the materials. Acrylic and balsa wood were used. The acrylic was used as the volumes and it was slightly heavier than the balsa wood. There was difficulty stabilising the acrylic volumes on the balsa wood. There’s also a volume resting by its side ensuring more stability in the model. If the lines are too upright in the model, the model would have difficulty in achieving its stability.
SPATIAL QUALITY (NEW) As observed, there is a space right in the middle of the model. A void. A wide and tall space. Yes. The void in the middle captures my attention when I first look at the model.

đ?‘‡â„Žđ?‘’ đ??¸ 3 is a stool designed based on the Eames Lounge Chair by Charles and Ray Eames. The key concepts of the Eames Lounge Chair are the intersecting of curved plywood and leather cushion. In designing đ?‘‡â„Žđ?‘’ đ??¸ 3 , the key concept is remained by using curved plywood and black leather cushion. đ?‘‡â„Žđ?‘’ đ??¸ 3 is made up of 4 pieces of plywood. Each of the plywood is bent perpendicularly. In order to achieve greater stability, aluminium strips are used as support for the chair to prevent the stool from over bending. With the result of the material consideration, the comfort of the chair remains.
FINAL SHOTS
INVENTOR’S HOUSE The form of the house is designed to bring the sun in. Asymmetrically designed, the house is in a form of a broken box, splitting into two similar parts. The form is exaggerated into a language of clenching, holding the light that the morning sun and evening sun cuts in the middle of the house. The house has an interior and exterior connection of living spaces and patios, behaving like an alternating sun clock. Light at different times of the day enhances spatial tectonics, and gives the occupant a variety of moods from morning to evening.
