Don’t get me started on the Texans...if they tighten up I think next year could be our year! I told Don I’d love to get involved with some of their events. Then he really got me interested in the Chili Cookoff! I’ve been doing this kind of thing for years even when I was performing as Archie Bell and the Drells...and I’m excited to get involved for the Sugar Land Police Department. They asked me to be a judge..and who’s going to say no to chili?””

Officer Marty Morales says, “We’re very thankful to Don and Classic Chevrolet for hosting this Whose Chili is successful event. Last year 1500 people attended...and we expect even more this year! With the the BES ? money raised in 2012 we were able to provide scholarships for students from Dulles, Kempner, Clement, and Fort Bend Baptist High schools. Community involvement is a huge part of the Sugar Land Police Department...and it’s a huge part of the culture at Classic Chevy, too!”

Soon––thanks to two young children, Ben and Jane, and their dog Maggie––the carpet had to go! A while back they called a flooring company to help them get rid of the carpet in the kids’ bedrooms and study, but after two years they needed the carpet removed from the master bedroom and bath. or a child with autism, an adult who’s suffered a stroke, a preschooler with delayed language, or an adult learning English as a second language, even the simplest words can be a struggle. Dana and Jason Johnson founded Speech Therapy Unlimited to give the power of communication to clients of all ages...with no waiting list for treatment!

andace Shaver literally can not remember how many times she and her family have been to St. Michael’s Emergency Rooms over the years. She says, “I had seen St. Michael’s when I was driving through Sugar Land and had heard how good they were.

When I got into poison ivy and had a terrible reaction, that’s where I went. The service I got on that visit was so wonderful that I’ve never considered going anywhere else!”

“I first brought my sons Jared and Alex when they were injured playing Little League baseball.

Now they both play at George Ranch and Alex also runs track.

Finding a Spectacular Doctor!

ocal mom Lisa Morris says, “Even when my oldest child Tyler was just a little guy in daycare, he wore glasses. One day the teachers told me another mom had adjusted his glasses for a better fit. y front door looked beyond bad,” says Beja Masella, “It was pitiful.
