Insulation n Thermaflex products Thermaflex is a complete technical insulation system based on high quality polyethylene foam, which can be used for a variety of heating, plumbing, chilling, air conditioning and ventilation installations. Benefits of Thermaflex products include: n Excellent thermo physical properties n Wide range of operating temperatures n Fulfils safety (e.g. fire) requirements n Long term stability and durability n Environment-friendly n Quick and easy assembly Thermaflex products have a closed cell material structure, which assures lasting insulation properties over the entire exploitation period. They serve as an excellent protection against heat transfer (undesirable temperature variations), allowing for measurable savings economical benefits -starting with the first day of installation.
n Thermal conductivity This value describes the insulation capability of a material also known as λ or k value. Materials with a λ−value below 0,065 W/mK at 40° C are classified as insulation materials. For commonly used insulation materials (PE-foam, rubber foam, glass or mineral wool, etc) the λ−value is in the range of 0,035 – 0,045 W/mK at 40° C medium temperature in the insulation. Our target is to improve the insulation value of our materials to obtain higher energy savings for all applications. 60% and more Energy Saving HEATING / Domestic Hot Water Parameters: 80° C water temp, 15° C room temp, heating period 10 hours/day, 220 days/year, 30m pipe Pipe diameter (copper)

n Resistance to water vapour diffusion This material property is described with the μ value. It defines the resistance to water vapour diffusion / permeability of the material. The higher the μ value, the higher the resistance – especially important for cooling/refrigeration applications. For these application we recommend to use only materials with a μ >3.000. Higher μ values will also keep the thermal conductivity (λ) more stable over the lifetime.

Thermaflex FR Thermaflex FR is a range of high quality flexible polyethylene insulation. All Thermaflex FR products have excellent insulation properties which have been checked by independent test institutes. Thermaflex FR is well suited for the Plumbing and Heating applications in industry, offices and residential buildings. It is suited for pre-installation insulation work as well as for post-installation insulation work and renovations.

Thermasheet FR Thermasheets FR are sheets of foamed cross-linked polyethylene with or without an embossed skin layer. Used for protection of flat surfaces, large diameter pipes, as well as rectangular and round ducts, in air conditioning, ventilation and heating systems.
n Thermasheet FR
Universal insulation sheet of grey foamed polyethylene, with a strong natural skin layer. Also available in self-adhesive sheets. Suitable for insulation of round and rectangular air ducts, round and oval air channels, air conditioning systems, cooling devices, tanks, valves, pipe elbows and large diameter heating or cooling pipes. After painting with Thermaflex Paint 800 the material becomes totally resistant to UV light. n Standard width: 1 meter n Temperature range: -80°C to +95° C (110° C)

Thermasheet FR n Direct extruded sheets
Foam insulation sheets for split and central air-conditioning systems, tanks, valves and flanges. Available for water and liquid cooling systems with pipes with large and extra large diameters. It has excellent insulation values and the thermal conductivity is λ = 0,033 W/mK (at 10°C) and λ = 0,038 W/mK (at 40°C). Laminated with a 0,1mm layer of solid aluminium foil (Alu Stucco). PE film can applied on one or two sides. A self adhesive foil can be applied to one side on request. Laminated sheets can be applied easily to the surface of pipes, ducts and tanks due to its self adhesive cover material. Neoprene base rapid contact adhesive. Can by used with a brush or application pump. After fully dried exhibits self-extinguishing properties.

Flexible and waterproof paint providing excellent UV protection after applying 2 coats of paint. Paint can be applied using brush, roller or pump. The paint has a unique property of being able to stretch by 400% without suffering surface damage.

Heating wire with build-in thermostat.
Application
Thermalint can be applied to both indoor and outdoor water supply installations. The thermostat is activated when the temperature drops below +3째C, thus the cable starts to heat the installation. When the temperature reaches +7째C the thermostat shuts off. Cable can reach max. +70째C

Installation
Thermalint is ready to use out of the box. The thermostat should be installed in the coldest part of the pipe, using PVC tape. Then the heating wire is run along the pipe, which requires heating. In case of large diameter pipes, the heating wire can be wound in a spiral around the pipe. The heating wire should never be trimmed or crossed. After connecting to a mains socket, Thermalint should begin automatic operation. In order to provide the best protection against freezing, we recommend that the heated pipes should also be insulated using Thermaflex insulation having a thickness of at least 13 mm. Maximum power consumption during operation is 16 W/m.
