I have always been inspired by the Built forms that transit to the unbuilt environment, it would help in bringing people closer to themselves each other and nature. I always prefer open, accessible space merged into the built environment. The design shall reflect the need and practicality of the project, but shall also be aesthetically pleasing for its user. “Form follows function – that has been misunderstood. Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union” – Frank Lloyd Wright.

THE URBAN CENTER RESIDENCE - COMMERCIAL - PLAZA The ensemble of residential towers and commercial buildings forms a unique address in the city environment. A plaza and an open shopping arcade create diverse urban qualities that link the complex with its surroundings. Existing buildings are often lacking certain functions that are currently needed since they have been designed in the past. Thus, plaza and mixed-used buildings, which are considered as a unit space, are needed to mention for ‘publicity’.

Idea | Concept The site is located in a densely populated urban area provides few open spaces for its neighborhood’s recreational activities. Thus, The design is made for three-dimensional, pedestrian-oriented places that layer compatible land uses, public amenities, and utilities together at various scales and intensities. This variety of uses allows for people to live, work, play and shop in one place, which then becomes a destination for people from other neighborhoods. Mixing up residential and commercial use provided an opportunity for integrating an urban plaza. The unrestricted access to the plaza allows space for vending activities, recreation, and socialization, from which many of the benefits are‌ pedestrian activity

DEOGHAR OPULANCE 5-STAR HOTEL | DEOGHAR
The idea is to capture the essence of the temple town in terms of the use of material, building form, an indoor-outdoor experience. The hospitality building has been designed to provide the guest with the same sense of spirituality that the city has to offer. Deoghar is known for its temple which attracts 50000 pilgrims every month making it one of the most visited pilgrim cities in India. The 5-Star hotel is planned to provide an elegant and upscale facility to serve the tourists.

Although it doesn’t contain a typical outdoor garden space, greenery has been incorporated throughout the entirety of the hotel – top to bottom, inside and out. Inspired by their location “connection with the landscape”, a space with several building layers is created that acts as green space: courtyard, rooftop, and interior. The idea was to minimize the proximity to an open green space from each floor.
AL SECTION A-A’
Rooftop garden acts as an extension of both green space and insulation. The garden at every 3 floor helped define the building profile and merge the site to the top floor. It helps increase human activity, social communication and quality of life.
PLAZA : 3 fold elevated central cortyard/plaza can be accessed from hotel lobby. Designed to act as a multi-porpose social space, housing public ammenities such as gym, spa, swimming pool and serving as an extension for the restaurant inside. Elevated plaza provides view of the temple town , dense vegetation and the lake at the west end of the site. Orientation of the building allows the sunset to be viewed through the cutout created by the building envelope resulting in a dramatic and spritual feeling.

VISUAL AND PERFORMING ART CENTRE N E A R B E L A P U PA N C H A Y AT - PA D U B I D R I - U D U P I - K A R N AT A K A The idea was to create a campus that acted as an integrated and interconnected system, so as to provide the users with a holistic experience. To create a space that could adapt and initiate dialogue between visual art and varied forms of performing arts. The buildings tend to open up to the activity centre, helping create a core that further strengthens the identity of the campus. The core acts as space for gathering, events, interaction, and learning.

The primary goal of the masterplan is to strengthen the identity of the campus by linking spaces in an interconnected system. The campus can be analysed as a set of architectural, functional and landscape elements, tailored to the context.
Upper mass contains the theatre department and common spaceslike library, etc. with staircase rising upto first floor from the Activity centre.
The downward slope towards the S-W has been used to create a clear sightline that forms the spine of the campus helps create a unique bond with the spaces. A major importance has been given to the landscaping , that shapes the identity of the campus.
Ground floor comprises of admin block and sculptor

The vehicular traffic has been restricted to the periphery of the site which in turn helps pedestrianize the inner core of the site. The driveway also acts as universal access for the campus.
Strategically located at the geographical center of the campus. The activity centre serves as a magnet for students from all parts of campus.
The campus has been unified by establishing a strong physical and functional Activity centre. Envisioned as an integrated system of building and landscape.

Spaces are placed surrounding three main double-height courtyards. The courtyards allow physical and psychological comfort through natural light and ventilation.
The total area has been divided into 4 main departments.
The courtyards can also be extended as interactive spaces, entertainment zones or relaxation areas. It helps provide security and privacy of indoor complemented by the fresh air and sunlight outdoor.
A semi-open corridor on the first floor overlooks the activity centre allows direct access to the auditorium and the activity centre.
The spaces in each department are placed surrounding the courtyard.
The central courtyard lies on the spine of the campus along the visual axis.

P U T TA H E J J E ANGANWADI- SHIRTHADY
Putta Hejje (Small Steps) is a conceptual design proposal for the Anganwadi at Shirthady, Karnataka as part of the competition. It embodies both intrinsic and acquired knowledge, growth, mother-child relationship, local culture and the children who seek the learning manifested within the walls. It is an architecturally conceived haven where the essence of India’s Anganwadi and Vernacular is plentiful, thus allowing the structure to seamlessly intertwine with its surroundings and become a welcoming place. It recognizes the diverse array of occupants, both young and old, and places emphasis upon facilitating a clear pathway for India’s youth, towards a better future.
