This model shows the structure connected to the building in physical form. This was completed at a 1:100 scale by lazercutting and 3d printing all the pieces. This model shows how each piece will connect with each other and its interaction with the building.
A light study was also competed to show the light patterns formed through the hollow of the structure.
Light Study
This model shows the overall form of the structure using aluminum panels with tabs and bolts to join them together. This model was completed at a 1:10 scale as it was the most suitable scale for cutting, connecting and constructing. A human figure and the front of the building was added for comparison and scale.
The model was very difficult to complete as pieces kept snapping and the small scale did not twist as desired into its final form. However the tabs and bolting method worked well for most of the model.
