The concept of the playing cards originated from a Sappi Project that I participated in. the vida characters based on the biristas and management of Vida e caffe as well as the Obrigado staff. The project is still in progress, however the brief was to keep the illustration clean and fun.

Boonoonoonous drum café An energetic yet vibrant experience for everyone. It is a place to let go. A place where the beating of drums echo in the distant background, combined with the laughter and singing of people. You don’t need to be able to play drums, or sing like Mariah Carey. You just need to be yourself and feed off the energy of the music. The interior is alluring, w ith bright colours (Red, yellow and green) furniture. The walls are unplastered in areas and some with metal sheets. Giving the café a sense of rawness. Allowing one to feel the warmth of the richness of the coloured furniture and ornaments. Not forgetting the stage, which is in the center of complex with the seating arrangements surrounding the “center piece”. This allows people from every corner to see what is happening. Originally the people of Jamaica sparked the idea for the restaurant. There sense of unity as a family. There fun loving attitude and jovial outlook on life. The language later became an interesting element- funny but very interesting. The pronunciations are hilarious and made for the quality to the core essence of the logo to come alive. This also followed through on the menu- headings and sub headings.
