LOCHABER IDEAS WEEK
3
WELCOME Lochaber Ideas Week 2014 is co-ordinated by Lochaber Chamber of Commerce and presented in association with the key event sponsor Twindeer Law and session sponsor West Highland College UHI. The week-long event celebrates business, education and community through exceptional talks, workshops, competition, discussion and networking. Ultimately Lochaber Ideas Week is a catalyst to stimulate fresh initiatives and ventures, creating new connections and points of collaboration designed to enhance the area we live in. Highlands & Islands Enterprise & Business Gateway initiated its success with their grant support as a result of which a monumental event will take place in the Outdoor Capital of the UK. Two very generous benefactors: West Coast Communities Growth Trust and Lamont Design have ensured that Dragon’s Glen winners receive a significant boost to their new enterprise. Competitions such as the “Dragons Glen” aim to actively inspire innovation and entrepreneurship
within our local area, whilst “Around Lochaber in 80 Tables” serves as a business networking event designed to encourage businesses to increase their exposure within the marketplace and create opportunities for future partnership. Many of our other sessions will challenge, stimulate and inform you, opening doors to new “successful” horizons. Lochaber Ideas Week runs in parallel with Global Entrepreneurship Week and Scotland’s Towns Week. Attending Lochaber Ideas Week will allow you to become part of a diverse community of practitioners from Lochaber, the Highlands and the UK. Lochaber Ideas Week will offer a unique platform to share your ideas, hear ideas on the next big projects in our region and provide a multitude of opportunities. You won’t want to miss it! Lochaber Ideas Week headquarters are based at Lochaber Chamber of Commerce, Station Square, Fort William, PH33 6EA. Telephone: 01397 705765 www.ideasweek.co.uk
