‘Around in 80 Minutes’ („Пътешествие за 80 минути“ in Bulgarian) is a comics adaptation of the novel ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’ by Jules Verne, which I (Nikolay Petroussenko) made as a student project in 2011. It is a humorous interpretation of the story of Phileas Fogg, the novel's main character,
who calculates his time and habits with a mathematical precision and later accepts a wager that he will accomplish a tour around the world in 80 days.
In my comics I represent and at the same time invert Fogg as wrist-watch, who runs slow, therefore expelled from his colleagues clocks. Since then along his main fellow-traveller Passepartout, a metal spring from the circus, commence their adventures.
