Social Housing, Commercial, Circulation, Landscape CHANDIGARH, full of trees and gardens, being well-planned city and renowned as “THE CITY BEAUTIFUL” is experiencing change with respect to population, cultural centres for social groups, domain for working people and growth as educational hub and therefore the regions adjacent too is witnessing a frenzy of activity in many areas with a domination to multi-storeyed housing. Through analysing, I realised that the housing needs to cater to the needs of the people and promote activities, create cultural-commercial space, creating public zones and offering great landscape for public use where people can engage and spend quality time together.

The site is situated in IT Park, Chandigarh, which is experiencing enormous population and infrastructure growth. Nearby Sukhna Lake influences the microclimate of the site, allowing summer breezes and enhancing the visual appeal for residents. As a prominent site with a connection to Sukhna Lake and a view of the Shivalik Ranges, this site has the potential to offer breathtaking vistas in a great location with the proposed facilities and commercial hub.

The primary road access was considered during the planning process. As a result, the internal road plan was developed, connecting the site to the surrounding zones. Along with the building block, there was provision for market space, a clubhouse, swimming pools, basketball courts, and green parks. There is basement parking for residents and surface parking for visitors.

NEW CHANDIGARH

BEDDED HOSPITAL KEYWORDS OF DESIGN:

Traditionally, health care for patients had been strictly focused on the medical treatments. But over the years, this traditional view on health care has changed and terminologies such as patient experience, patient satisfaction, and patient-centered care are part of the conversation of every health care organization. For this design project, I endeavour to create spaces providing physical comfort while catering to their process of healing. A major design goal was to bring daylight as deep into the space as possible and provide views to greens. Moreover, spaces for family and friends were provided in order to ensure their involvement giving patient a sense of emotional support.

THE SITE > DEVELOPMENT PLAN > SITE AND PLANNING

The site is situated New Chandigarh which is experiencing a substantial growth in the field of housing, commercial and hospitality sectors. Proposing a District Hospital here would be beneficial for the future. A well-designed and planned environment is needed to support the workflow and create an environment that promotes physical and emotional healing to the patients as well as their family members. The planning of the site took into consideration the important routes from which the main entrance and emergency entrance must be linked. Having a road intersection on the outskirts, the accesses were given a secondary road. A separate entrance, designated as the service entrance, was created to facilitate loading and unloading for canteens, laundry, etc. Offsets from the main roads were given in the form of greens across the boundary to minimi

Located in Village Deha of Tehsil Theog, District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh; on the Northern slope and a little far away from basic services, the site is relatively quite and has abundant vegetation (local trees and plants).

HILL HOUSING KEYWORDS OF DESIGN: Contours, Residential, Clubhouse, Landscape

A residential building, here, can be fruitful if merged with the natural slope. As no nearby buildings or cultural hub is nearby, we can capture the essence here. The goal was to create a space merging the architectural fabric of the environment with the topography of the site. The aim would be to capture the homeowner's needs and desires and translate these often elusive concepts into the home of their dreams.SHIMLA,

HIMACHAL PRADESH

> MAIN RENDER

The site is located in Shimla, hence the challenge was to design in accordance with the site's topography. The Site is well-connected to a main road, but there were no residential or commercial facilities nearby. Consequently, the design required a housing development for the local and migrant population, as well as a clubhouse for recreational activities and playgrounds. To accommodate the gradient of the site, the first task was to design the road plan with a hairpin curve in mind. The cut-and-fill had to be minimised, thus it was performed where the contours were less evident or were loosely situated. Then, the building blocks were positioned according to the site's contours and connected to the primary road. Along the road, retaining walls were made and an offset was given before the placement of the building block. Parking was given on surface and play areas were defined.

Cancer Patients, Healing Architecture, Materials, landscape I endeavor to investigate the effects that the architectural ambiance, material palette, landscape and architectural space have on the patients while they are in their therapeutic environment. It is not the structure itself that promotes healing; rather, it is the philosophy of both the community and the architecture of the healing environment that constitutes and enhances the contribution they make to the healing process.
