Eine zufällige Begegnung, eine begeisterte Modemacherin in Ausbildung und ein visionärer Kaufmann standen am Anfang der Geschichte von NILE. Edith Hansmann, heute Head of Design, trug eine Bluse, selbst entworfen und selbst genäht. Markus Gygax, heute CEO, bat um eine Kleinproduktion von zehn Stück und nahm sie im eigenen Retailgeschäft Bijou les Boutiques im Sortiment auf. Sie waren in ein paar Tagen ausverkauft. So begann im Jahre 1983 die Erfolgsgeschichte von NILE, die bis heute um viele Kapitel, unzählige Kollektionen, zahlreiche Läden und wertvolle Erfahrungen reicher ist.
Le destin tient parfois à un fil. Une rencontre due au hasard, une créatrice de mode passionnée encore en formation et un commerçant visionnaire sont à l’origine de la société NILE. Edith Hansmann, actuel Head of Design, portait un chemisier qu’elle avait dessiné et confectionné elle-même; Markus Gygax, actuel CEO, en commanda une petite production, dix pièces, qu’il proposa dans son magasin de vente au détail, Bijou les Boutiques. En quelques jours, tout était vendu. C’est ainsi qu’a commencé l’histoire de la réussite de NILE en 1983, une histoire qui compte aujourd’hui bien d’autres chapitres, d’innombrables collections, de nombreux magasins et de précieuses expériences.
NILE began with a chance encounter between an enthusiastic trainee fashion designer and a visionary businessman – the rest is history. Edith Hansmann, current Head of Design, was wearing a blouse that she had designed and made herself, and Markus Gygax, current CEO, ordered a small collection of ten pieces for his shop, Bijou les Boutiques. It sold out in a few days. So began the success story of NILE in 1983, which has since been enriched by many chapters, countless collections, numerous shops and valuable experience.
