Noi siamo quelli che ogni anno camminano, lavorano, corrono e si muovono indossando le scarpe Dike. E solo vivendole ogni giorno, abbiamo potuto confermare la loro storia: fortemente fashion e fortemente work.

Noi che le abbiamo indossate e messe alla dura prova ve lo possiamo confermare: ogni Dike lavora come una grande diga che separa l’uomo dai pericoli. Ci riescono perché hanno dalla loro parte la migliore tecnologia. Perché conoscono profondamente l’uomo, non solo il suo piede. E sanno bene che l’uomo è un’unità inseparabile di ragione e passione. Noi, che lavoriamo e amiamo, abbiamo avuto la prova che i nostri piedi possono fare altrettanto. Ce lo ha dimostrato un anno di duro, durissimo lavoro con le nostre Dike.

We have worn them ourselves and put them through all sorts of hardships, and we can conﬁrm that: every Dike works just like a big dike which separates man from danger. They are able to do this because they have the very best

technology on their side. Because they know people very well, not just their feet. And they know that people are inseparable single units of both reason and passion. We work and we love, and we have had the proof that our feet can do the same. A hard, extremely hard year of working with our Dike has demonstrated this to us.

A great shoe is born of a great vision And a great vision is born of a will to design a great product. We are in the XXl century and the ambition of a shoe is evermore determined by its make up: fashion/style, ergonomics/ comfort, hygiene/ health, protection/ safety. UN DESIGNER CHE CONOSCE DUE MONDI E LI CONCENTRA IN UNA SOLA SCARPA? NON CI CREDO. A designer who knows two worlds and concentrates them into one shoe? I don’t believe it.

Ein Designer, der zwei Welten kennt und sie in einem Schuh vereint? Das gibt es nicht.

Great technology always goes hand in hand with the great beauty that interprets it. We like this idea: of you working in maximum safety whilst wearing a design. This is why we have chosen designers who are capable of uniting two worlds. Of course, when we asked them to make the most beautiful shoes possible work in the best way possible, they looked at us with some suspicion: it was the ﬁrst time that a company producing shoes for work had made this sort of request. And it was also the ﬁrst time that a company producing fashion shoes had set itself this objective.

Es darf keine große Technologie geben ohne große Ästhetik, die sie zum Ausdruck bringt. Uns gefällt die Idee, dass du in Sicherheit arbeitest, mit Design an den Füssen. Aus diesem Grund haben wir Designer gewählt, die diese beiden Welten vereinen können. Natürlich haben sie uns schief angesehen, als wir sie baten, schöne Schuhe gute Arbeit leisten zu lassen: Bisher hatte noch keine Firma, die Sicherheitsschuhe produziert, solche Ideen. Und es gab auch noch keinen Hersteller von Modeschuhen, dem so etwas eingefallen wäre.

Non ci può essere grande tecnologia senza una grande estetica che sappia interpretarla. Ci piace l’idea: farvi lavorare in massima sicurezza, con il design addosso. Per questo abbiamo scelto designer capaci di unire due mondi. Certo, quando abbiamo chiesto loro di far lavorare al meglio le più belle scarpe ci hanno guardato con difﬁdenza: era la prima volta che un’azienda che produce scarpe per il lavoro chiedeva questo. Ed era anche la prima volta che un’azienda che produce scarpe fashion si poneva questo obiettivo.

48 ORE. LE ABBIAMO CONTATE DAVVERO: IL LORO TIMING È DIVENTATO LA NOSTRA SICUREZZA. 48 hours. We really have counted them: their timing has become our safety. If you are reading this chapter, it is because you do believe this incredible 48 hours thing a little bit, but you want to know more. You have never heard anything like this and it seems to you to be a little exaggerated. Perhaps. Why exactly 48 hours? Why can we guarantee you this? How can we be so sure that our delivery time will be exactly right? Answer: because every Dike safety shoe is designed in Italy, thought up in Italy and worked on in Italy. In every detail of the Dike shoe, from the sole to the shoelace. Less than 48 hours would have been an impossible promise. Furthermore, it would not have been a Dike promise. The uniqueness of this project can be evaluated like this: Dike is near to you, just as a shoe for professional purposes which promises something important would be. And 48 hours means a lot, both for you as well as us.

There is a special WSC® (Web Stability Control) so as to wrap the tread in its characteristic shape, guaranteeing an optimum balance. An anti-twist CSS® (Carbon Support System) insert supports the foot whilst walking with its position in correspondence to the inserted sole arch. Gli speciali tasselli Dirty Stop® che lo compongono, ottimizzano la presa sempre e sono studiati per eliminare rapidamente liquidi e fango. Digger resiste alle alte temperature per contatto ﬁno a 300 °C. Costruita in PU e gomma, questa suola è progettata dai nostri laboratori di ricerca per offrire un vero e proprio all-terrain e la massima trazione su qualsiasi tipo di fondo.

The special Dirty Stop® plugs which it is made up of, optimise the grip and have been studied so as to rapidly eliminate liquids and mud. Digger resists high contact temperatures of up to 300 °C. Made of PU and rubber, this sole has been designed by our research laboratories so as to offer a really all-terrain and maximum drive on any type of surface.
