DISPERSAL SALE OF THE TURBO BONT FLOCK
The sheep sold in the dispersal sale are not subject to the official society inspection and buyers should satisfy themselves before they buy.
The flock is on the Heptavac P system and vaccinated for Enzo and Toxo.
Reference to stock rams:
Turbo Bont Eminent is a homebred ram which produced three crops of lambs. He is in the top 5% terminal sire index.
Four shearling rams imported in 2023 worked as ram lambs in both the Turbo Bont and Saint Clear Flock.
The imported rams were bred by Peter Van Den Oudenrijn, both Elfyn and myself were most impressed with this outstanding flock.
We selected the best possible matings based on our own observations of the 2024 crop of lambs. Pen mating took place 15th to the 16th and 25th to the 26th September.

DISPERSAL SALE OF THE ADULT PORTION OF THE HODGE FLOCK
CONDITIONS OF SALE: All lots are sold under dispersal sale conditions and NOT the Blue Texel Sheep Society Rules. No warranties are given or apply.
The flock was established with the purchase of foundation females from top flocks, with the aim to produce stock for the commercial market having size, power, width and carcase with good skins. We have made the difficult decision to disperse due other commitments meaning we feel we are unable to give them the time they deserve.
The Hodges flock has brought us great success in the show ring winning many interbreeds throughout our local shows, a standout has been Hodges Gold Dust who has been shown very successfully as a gimmer and a one crop ewe, she has been unbeaten this year, her mother and sisters sell in the sale. We were extremely fortunate to secure the top price shearling Ram at the premier sale this year selling Hodges Highlander for 6500gns to Beili Blues and Caryl’s Blues, with a full brother also selling to Nantyderri. The same ewe also produced Ram Lambs sold to 3000gns for Hodges Jackpot sired by our stock ram Carsaig Hilux.
This sale includes the full adult portion of the Hodges Flock, the entire crop of ewe lambs will be forward next year as gimmers.
The flock is Enzo and Toxo vaccinated and on the Heptivac P system.
We would just like to take this opportunity to wish everyone well with their purchases.
