01 URBAN DESIGN -RESILIENT CITIES, AURANGABAD
India has been ranked as the sixth most climate change-vulnerable country by the Climate Risk Index 2018. Currently, Indian cities are underprepared for future urbanization prospects. Analysis by McKinsey & Company shows infrastructure provision is inadequate in most cities: annually, the deficit in infrastructure spending is more than $100 per capita, which has resulted in poor maintenance and insufficient new infrastructure development. In the context of rapid development, cities have struggled to manage shocks like urban floods. One such city is Aurangabad which deals with severe scarcity of water all year long. The city receives an average of 700 mm rainfall every year. Even after receiving a considerable amount of water, Aurangabad is facing urban drought. This project studies and deals with problems around the water scarcity of Aurangabad.

02 AFFORDABLE AND NET-ZERO HOUSING, PUNE
Access to affordable housing is crucial in India for the achievement of numerous social priorities, including poverty reduction. 1 million units by 2022. Multiple state governments and real estate investors have concentrated on the housing sector’s sustainability and affordability in the recent past. Linking sustainability with quality rather than pricing will generate opportunities for upcoming housing projects, especially because different expectations of affordability are required by India’s socio-economic climate. The fundamental principle is that in affordable, healthy accommodation, people should be able to achieve comfortable living conditions.

03 BUSINESS HOTEL AND CO-WORKING SPACE, PUNE
Traditional Indian towns always had multiple social & financial centre’s within a walk able neighbourhood. This aspect of walk-ability has been the backbone of sustainability in terms of social & financial inclusiveness. Today’s Indian cities are evolving at break neck speeds and the work opportunities have always been the catalysts for development & migrations. Using the same catalyst aspect of the business opportunities for social change is our primary idea behind this proposal of a New Age Business Hotel. With present economy and growing trend of entrepreneurship, staying and working remotely is positively on a rise and encouraged. Individuals or government policies, both are encouraging the entrepreneurs and small Scale ‘Boutique’ companies. The hospitality industry is also adapting to this by means of spaces and economics. Business hotels particularly are trying to give the visitors more than it used to, in terms of space and economics.
