AMPP (formerly NACE) will be delivering a half-day corrosion fundamentals course in-person from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm in The Woodlands, TX.
Led by industry expert Lou Koszewski, this course will introduce practitioners to the common types of corrosion, methods of control, and how corrosion presents itself in storage tanks.
• Identify common corrosion failures and explain how corrosion occurs • Gain insight into the forms of corrosion in storage tanks such as general, localized, crevice, pitting, galvanic, environmental, SCC, HIC, etc. • Common corrosion control and mitigation methods such as cathodic protection, protective coatings, corrosion inhibitors, etc. • Proven detection methods to locate corrosion in tanks: Inspection methods, monitoring, probes, and more
