The west beach of st. martine was selected as the site. St. Martin's Island is a small island (area only 8 km2) in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's BazarTeknaf peninsula, and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh. There is a small adjoining island that is separated at high tide, called Chera Dwip. It is about 8 kilometers (5 miles) west of the northwest coast of Myanmar, at the mouth of the Naf River.

CONCEPT CREATING A VISTA I tried to create a vision by level up. Thus from lounge on can see the direct sea.

MATERIAL ANALYSIS Using concrete on west side, I tried to reduce heat gain. I also used wood on roof. Giving it a chemical treatment..

SHADING DEVICES From over all calculation of shading devices , i used 12 inches Of shading device that provide minimum heat in summer and maximum heat in winter.

To Achieve The Highest Comfort From Cross Ventilation The Orientation Of The Opening Of The Guest Rooms North - South.

Project 02

PREFACE The rapid urbanization is leading to an explosive increase in youth population in metropolitan areas, particularly in developing countries. In recent days, this increasing youth population and their employment remains a critical element of sustainable development. However, vulnerable youth around the city desire for a chance to learn skill, find employment, make a living and become self reliant. Besides this, globalization and technological developments are affecting youth in urban areas in all parts of the world. While the rapidly developing information and communications technology can offer opportunities to young people for learning, skill enlargement, enable socioeconomic development and provide career opportunities in the ICT sector itself. It enhances the learning process by enabling increased access to knowledge and more collaborative and interactive learning techniques.

Verve Against Debacle Center for fire safety and civil defense Site: Khulna. Studio V

Project 01

PREFACE A fire station comprises little more than a dwelling with an oversized garage. At its most complex, it embodies the values of its community and functions as a highly technical machine for emergency response. That understanding, infused with aspects of storytelling and context, inspired the design effort.

Dhaka Pavilion “Experimenting The New Spatial Concept” Site: Hatirjheel, Dhaka. Studio V

Project 02

PREFACE Architecture might be related with the structure trough variety of methods where structure plays a role to shape the form as well as ensuring the aesthetic view of the particular project. In Early time, the structure provides only the stability of the building but not to produce any kind of architectural spaces because of structural limitations. After the industrial revolution, a movement was familiarized in the field of architecture known as MODERNISM which introduced the high-tech, deconstruction and so on. Beside that, the role of structure have reformed with the advancement of science and technology and worked as to creates spaces and gives identity. On the other hand, various types of software’s is facilitated to generate idea and to design also. All the things will be explored by the students through designing a project where advance structural system should be integrated with the architecture and the BIM software helps to upgrade the presentation skill.

Dhaka Pavilion

36

IDEA: ▪ A pavilion is an exhibition platform . It can be the exhibition of a mere future products to the exhibition of a priceless ancient act. ▪ An important fact of a pavilion is that the whole world is going to see it in its full glory as it is a global platform of publicity. So it commonly is designed in a way that the pavilion itself represents the unique characteristics of the country herself. ▪ In my project, I also tried to uphold my country by abstracting the national bird of our country in its form & shape. I tried to abstract Magpie, the national bird & portray its beauty in my structure. ▪ To work on special structure, I followed the works of well renowned contemporary architect, Architect Norman Foster. He is considered one of the specialists of todays special steel structure. ▪ To work with my project, I followed one of his great works, The City Hall London, UK 1998 - 2002. In this particular project, his works on structural innovations, inspired me to do my project & helped me to go forward with my project.

Exploring Verticality Site: Gulshan 2, Dhaka

Studio VI

Project 01

PREFACE High-rise buildings are clearly related to the city with a natural response to dense population concentration scarcity of land and high rise building follows closely the growth of the city. Since the tall building contains necessary services and amenities theoretically the people have never to leave it. The building itself form a city within a city. The design of such an intricate interaction system required systematic programming of social ecological and political implication exerted not just on the surrounding urban contextual but also on its own environment. The proposed high-rise building is an assumed multinational organization already marks its footsteps in all remarkable cities in the world. Recently the company is going to launch an establishment containing corporate office with other rental necessities to mark the environment commercially viable.

Our onwards journey towards infinity is endless as is our aspiration. The building here is a monumental approach to showcase our achievement it is a tribute to all the heroes who brought us here with a massage that we can and we will reach the peak of infinity.

RENTAL HOUSING BASED ON AFFORDABILITY For Lower Middle Income Group Site: Sonadanga, Khulna. Studio VIII

Project 02

PREFACE Housing matters. It matters more to people’s lifestyle than other necessities such as food and clothing (Jing,2014). Assessing housing need typically considers three dimensions; amenity, affordability and overcrowding problems which are more prevalent in less developed economy, the problem of housing affordability refers to “an expression of people, constituted as household, in relation to their individual housing situations.” Methodologically, residual income approach is adapted and the scope is beyond the border of poverty measurement.

DESIGNING IDENTITY For “EDUCATORS VERTICAL LIVING” Site: Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Studio IX

Project 01

PREFACE Owing primarily to a growing scarcity of land and subsequent price hike, vertical apartments became as the most ubiquitous mode of contemporary living, preferred equally by developers, planners, occupiers and even governments for their compactness and other associated efficiencies. Even those spatial plans having the most sprawling of Master plans such as the academic campuses in Bangladesh designed in 1960s and 70s are now opting for vertical solutions to fulfilling their spatial requirements. This problem became more acute for the newer campuses designed in 1990s and after. Located in and adjacent to different prominent cities in Bangladesh. Many of which are historically significant. These campuses have land size 100 acres or less. Vertical solution to housing for its staff especially its teaching staff hence have became the only practical option available for the authorities.

55

Designing Identity For “Educators Vertical Living”

56

SITE JUSTIFICATION ▪ It is only 50feet It is only from existing teacher’s housing so it will boost up the community development. ▪ It will provide the best security system from out side of the campus. ▪ This site will assure better environment and natural impact. ▪ The site is in the SUST campus so it is nearby the job place of the target group. ▪ This is a vacant land. ▪ This location has been proposed for teacher’s apartments.

SITE LOCATION The site is located at the western periphery of SUST campus. SUST is situated in Kumargaon, Sylhet.

SITE TOPOGRAPHY The site is located at the western periphery of SUST campus.

CLIMATE Sylhet's climate is classified as tropical. Rainfall is significant most months of the year, and the short dry season has little effect. The average annual temperature is 24.8 °C in Sylhet. The average annual rainfall is 3876 mm. The zone of high seismic risk. 57

CONCEPT FORMULATION PROJECT TYPOLOGY

Why Monumental Architecture ? Monumental architecture, as a highly visible and enduring form of such consumption, plays an important role in shaping the political and economic behavior of human beings. This explains why, as systems based on inequality evolved, monumental architecture loomed so large in the archaeological record.
