Each NJCAA Region Director will submit, in rank order with overall records, the top teams in their region for poll consideration. The region rankings will then be handed over to Sectional Directors to create a Top 20. The NJCAA will release seven Division II softball rankings on a weekly basis beginning March 14. In order for a team to be eligible for ranking they first must have their schedule/ results and stats up to date on the NJCAA website. They must also then be submitted by their region director to the national office for poll consideration. The NJCAA Top 20 will be released each poll date on the NJCAA (www.njcaa.org) website.

LSU-EUNICE: 2011 DII SOFTBALL CHAMPIONS Lady Bengals of LSU-Eunice Win DII Softball Crown The LSU Eunice (La.) Lady Bengals (58-10) won the 2011 NJCAA Division II Softball National Championship with a 10-0 win over Owens Community College (Ohio) in Normal, Ill. It was the first national title for the team who started collegiate play in 2005. LSU-Eunice won the rematch with Owens (43-4), who the Lady Bengals beat 6-0 on Fin the third round of the tournament. The Lady Bengals set an NJCAA National Tournament record, shattering the team batting average mark. LSU Eunice hit .424 in the tournament. They also set a tournament record with a .992 field percentage. Haley McCall was named Tournament MVP.
