My Treasure He dared a smile, I did the same, We went on and on until it became A mind-numbing game. He uttered a word, Quick was I to laugh though in it I Found no absurdity. His treasure was By his side, the gem I craved. His treasure was of the scarcest kind; That which is hard to find. I wanted to deprive my foe of his Treasure but he took me for friend. I fed my foe with love and kisses But little did he know my lips where Venom and my sentiments his grave. The more he held his treasure, the more I desired it. Treasure! I was told is That which one can hold at the expense Of his soul. As old stories go, at the Outlay of his soul did I possess Pearl, His Pearl.
