We provide numerous exciting and engaging thematic units throughout the year, allowing your children to freely explore and grow in important skill development areas, including: large and fine motor skills, language and literacy, science and math, art and music. Your child’s social and emotional development is of prime importance. At Bright Beginnings, we help each child grow in her or her feelings of self-worth, self-confidence, respect, appreciation of others, love of learning and of school. Our curriculum reflects the most current understanding regarding child development and early education, and embraces Shorewood School District curriculum goals. Our classroom ratio is two adults for sixteen students. Bright Beginnings will follow the school year calendar for the 2018 - 2019 school year. When the elementary schools do not have school, Bright Beginnings will not be held. PRESCHOOL TOILETING GUIDELINES: All children are to be completely toilet trained before the first day of school. If your child is not complete toilet trained, you will be required to be present in the classroom and assist your child with toileting needs. Teachers and volunteers will assist children with buttons or snaps on clothing as necessary. Independence and reinforcement of self-help skills will be encouraged by the teachers. 2018 - 2019 Tuition Payments: A $200 nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of registration to reserve a spot for your child. Receive a $100 discount if tuition is paid in full at registration. All balances must be paid in full by August 1, 2018. Everyone possesses ch’i and we can develop it within our bodies through learning and practicing T’ai Chi movements. In class, students learn a comprehensive system that opens and strengthens the whole body in a gentle manner. Ultimately, the practice integrates body, mind and spirit causing a “ripple” effect that not only helps overall health, but spreads out into the well-being of the family and the greater community.
