2. Respect The Staff
Follow directions the first time. Speak in a respectful tone. Trust the staff to make good decisions. Tell a staff member if you are leaving an activity or program. P Immediately tell a staff member if another participant is physically or verbally bothering you. P P P P
3. Respect The Environment
P Always use equipment and furniture for the purpose P P P P
it was designed. Walk, do not run inside the buildings. Report all broken equipment immediately to staff. Care for our outdoor and indoor surroundings. Clean up after yourself before leaving an area.
The Recreation Department wants all children to have a positive experience in our programs. A safe environment is most important. The purpose of the Shorewood School District’s youth sports programs is to guide each participant, boys and girls, through an organized program that will develop the fundamentals of each sport. Sports programs are open to any student who lives in the Village of Shorewood. Whatever sport your child chooses, they will be taught the fundamentals of the sport. Skill development will be stressed throughout the season and participants will receive a basic understanding of rules, sportsmanship and teamwork by the end of the season. Please contact LeVar Ridgeway, Shorewood School District’s Athletic Director, via e-mail at LRidgeway@shorewood.k12.wi.us or phone at (414) 963-6924 for information on SIS Athletics.

Page 20 Drama Jr - Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr. Journey “under the sea” with Shorewood Drama Junior as they present Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. Adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the 1989 motion picture, the show features the Oscar-winning music and lyrics of Howard Ashman & Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast.) Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home - and her fins - behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking. Written to flow seamlessly between land and sea, Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. provides plenty of opportunities to bring these locations to life through acting, singing, and dancing as well as by fantastical costumes and an imaginative set. Both cast and crew can let their imaginations run wild. Production dates are Saturday, July 27 @ 7:00 pm and Sunday, July 28 @ 1:30 pm. Please review the attendance policy before registering.
