Church News and Activities The Monthly Communion Service will be held immediately after this morning’s service. Worship on Sunday, 8th March will be conducted by the Minister beginning at 11.00am. Kingz Kidz and Trekkers should meet at 10.50am in church. Tea and coffee will be served in the church immediately after the service. Anyone who would like to consider full membership of the Church by Profession of Faith can attend a course of instruction beginning Thursday, 12th March at 7.30pm in the Vestry. Live streaming of Church Services. Our Sunday morning service along with other events held in the Sanctuary will now be streamed live via the internet by logging on to the church website and clicking on the link. Please note that this is a live http://www.nlk.church streaming only and you will not be able to view the service on any media later except by a recorded DVD. Guild will meet on Monday, 2nd March at 7.15pm in lower hall. Guild Project - "Free to Live Trust" - Seema's Project. The Guild are hosting their Annual Coffee Morning in the lower hall, John Finnie Street on Saturday, 7th March from 10.00am to12noon. Tickets priced £2.50 each can be obtained from members of the Guild committee, or people can pay at the door. We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday 7th, when we hope to provide a morning of pleasant conversation and fellowship, along with a ‘cuppa’ and cake. Money raised goes
towards helping our Guild to make a donation towards the two national Guild Projects for this year and other causes, and your continued support is greatly appreciated. Music and Movement will meet on Tuesday, 3rd March at 2.00pm in lower hall. Welcome Group Meeting on Wednesday, 4th March at 7.30pm in Session Room. Prayer Group will meet on Wednesday, 4th March at 6.45pm in the church. All are welcome but if you cannot come in person, please leave a prayer request in the box in church or on our Facebook page. 'Jesus Christ, Superstar, do you think you're what they say you are?' This is the theme of this year's Lent study, beginning in the church on Wednesday, 4th March at 7.30pm. All welcome, especially if you have not attended a Lent group in the past. Come along, journey towards Easter among friends. Guild of Friendship will meet on Thursday, 5th March at 2.00pm in lower hall. Personal Security. This year the World Day of Prayer takes place on Friday, 6th March. The service in Kilmarnock is being held in the Salvation Army citadel in Sturrock Street at 2.00pm. It has been written by Christian women of Zimbabwe and is entitled, “Rise, take your mat and walk.” This is an ecumenical service and everyone will be welcome. Let’s join with Christians all round the world to pray for peace and reconciliation! Friendship Group will meet on Wednesday, 11th March at 2.00pm in lower hall. NLK Walking Group - The Walking Group’s annual inaugural walk around the grounds of Dumfries House will take place on SATURDAY, 21st March. Depending on interest and walking ability, we hope to have a choice of walks. Meet at 2.00pm outside the Visitors' Centre. Everyone is invited to come along, whether or not you have walked with us before, and there are plenty of places to pause and rest. Bring your families, friends and the dog. We’d love to see you. We finish our walk with coffee, cake and chat in a café. If you require transport, please speak to Ellen Stewart or Derek I’Anson. Apart from our Annual Grand Day Out to Arran in June, which takes place on a Saturday, all our other Monthly Walks take place on a SUNDAY afternoon. On Saturday, 28th March we will have our first MESSY CHURCH. Messy church is an afternoon gathering where families can come together to enjoy food together as well as crafts and Bible stories. Games will be provided for children and activities for families together. We encourage families to stay with younger children, however, if your child/children are older, you are welcome to drop your children off and join us later on for food. The afternoon will be from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, with food being served at 5.30pm. We are looking for volunteers to help promote our Messy Church as well as help on the day with donations of food, serving or other.
