New Testament reading campaign

Week 2 13th - 17th March 2017 Welcome to the second week of our New Testament journey! This week, we’ll read Acts, the follow-up to Luke’s gospel. Luke and Acts are two volumes of a single work covering the life of Jesus and the movement he ignited. We’ll end the week by reading two of Paul’s earliest letters, written to one of the churches he founded. Remember to read for distance. Instead of getting bogged down in all the details, concentrate on the big-picture story. And enjoy the journey! Meet for an hour..... On Sunday 19th March 3.00pm in the church Or Wednesday 22nd March 10.00am in the church

Your Community Bible Experience Reading Plan Week 2 Week 2: Luke-Acts, 1-2 Thessalonians Acts (days 6-9) has six parts, each describing a successive phase in the expansion of the church outward from Jerusalem. The apostle Paul’s first two letters, 1 and 2 Thessalonians (day 10), were written to encourage a Christian community facing persecution and to assure them of their coming vindication. Day 6 p. 55-64 or Acts 1-6:7 read until “…priests became obedient to the faith.” Day 7 p. 64-75 or Acts 6:8-12:24 read until “…word of God continued to spread and flourish.” Day 8 p. 75-86 Acts 12:25-19:20 read until “…spread widely and grew in power.” Day 9 p. 87-102 or Acts 19:21 read until the end of Acts Day 10 p. 103-115 1 and 2 Thessalonians
