New Testament reading campaign
Week 3 20th - 24th March 2017 Welcome to the third week of our New Testament journey, we’ll read four more of Paul’s letters to churches: 1-2 Corinthians, Galatians and Romans. Traditionally, Paul’s letters are arranged from longest to shortest. But in The Books of the Bible, we get to read them in the order they were most likely written. As you read, you may find yourself retracing Paul’s steps from the book of Acts. Be sure to create space for each day’s reading. Resist the temptation to multitask. Instead, try to carve out time each day so you can devote your full attention to the text. Happy reading! Meet for an hour..... On Sunday 26th March 3.00pm in the church Or Wednesday 29th March 10.00am in the church
Your Community Bible Experience Reading Plan Week 3 Week 3: 1-2 Corinthians, Galatians, Romans 1 and 2 Corinthians (days 11-13) address a number of problems facing a dysfunctional church in a cosmopolitan city. Paul wrote Galatians (day 14) to refute the claim that Gentile Christians had to observe Jewish customs in order to be saved. In his letter to the Romans (day 15), Paul insists the good news of Jesus is for everyone, Jew and Gentile. Day 11 p. 117-126 read until “…I too have the Spirit of God.” Or 1 Cor Ch 1 - Ch 7:40) Day 12 p. 126-137 read until the end of 1 Corinthians (from Ch 8 - Ch 16) Day 13 p. 139-153 read until the end of 2 Corinthians (Ch 1 - Ch 13) Day 14 p. 155-163 read until the end of Galatians Day 15 p. 165-177 read until “…the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans Ch 1 - Ch 8)
