Church News and Activities The Stated Annual Meeting of the Trustees and Congregation of New Laigh Kirk will take place immediately after worship this morning. ALL Trustees (Elders and Board members) are required to attend). This is an important meeting bringing our congregation up to date with matters of Stewardship and administration of our church’s work and the part all members of our congregation play and contribute to. Minutes from the Stated Annual Meeting 2018 are available in the coffee/tea area or from Derek I'Anson. Anyone who would like to consider full membership of the Church by Profession of Faith can attend a course of instruction on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm in the Vestry. Tried everything? Then try Praying! A New Laigh Kirk prayer initiative through Holy Week 15th to 19th April, from 10.00am to 4.00pm at the former BHS store in King Street. We need at least 25 people, that’s five people per day to help us cover the event over the week. There will be prayer stations, video loops and Prayer Labyrinth as well as serving tea and coffee. Worship on Sunday, 31st March will be conducted by the Minister beginning at 11.00am. Kingz Kidz and Trekkers should meet at 10.50am in church. Crèche facility in Session Room for children under three years of age. Tea and coffee will be served in church immediately after the service. Silver Sunday will take place THIS AFTERNOON at 2.30pm in the church for short afternoon of praise for our senior members followed by tea and cake. Everyone welcome. A few copies of the Order of Service in large print are available. Please speak to a member of the duty team if you require one. There is an induction loop system for the hard of hearing. Easter Club for all children from Primary 1 to 7 will be held in the halls in John Finnie Street on 8th April, 9th April and 10th April (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) from 10.00am to 12noon. 'The Mystery of God', produced by Christians Together in Britain and Ireland is the title of the series of discussion sessions for Lent 2019. Continuing on Wednesday, 27th March from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in the Session Room. Presbytery Prayer Meeting on Saturday, 30th March from 10.00am to 10.45am in New Laigh Kirk. Tea and coffee will be served from 9.30am. Trekkers ‘Musicals themed’ Coffee Morning will be held on Saturday, 30th March from 10.00am to 12noon in the John Finnie Street halls. The young people would really appreciate your support in attending. Donations of baking and raffle prizes will be gratefully received. NLK Walking Group.
