Welcome A very warm welcome to our worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are delighted you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you. Tea and coffee will be served in the church immediately after the service.

New Laigh Kirk - a place to belong Whether you are a guest or regular attender we invite you to find your welcome place among us, a place to belong, to join in regular worship, to join in the life of our Kirk in whatever capacity and in your own appropriate way. You will see that there are many people of all ages seeking to serve within New Laigh Kirk as well as the wider community. As part of the family of God and gifted with many and varying talents, we try to use these to deepen our faith, care for each other, and to spread into our town and parish the good news of God’s love for all. Benediction Intimations Worship on Sunday, 3rd February will be our Family Communion Service beginning at 11.00am, where the children of our Kirk are encouraged to participate along with their parents. Everyone serving communion should meet at 9.50am in church. The Welcome Team today is Helen Colman, Esther Douglas, Gordon McIlwraith, Margaret Paterson, Brian Laurens, Margaret Hope, Eileen Murphy, Alasdair MacLean, Ian Anderson, Elizabeth McIlwraith, Tim Purdon, Fiona Duffy, Jan Lamberton and Graeme Johnstone. A few copies of the Order of Service in large print are available. Please speak to a member of the duty team if you require one. There is an induction loop system for the hard of hearing. Fellowship of Kilmarnock Churches. Service for Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be held in St Joseph's Church TODAY at 6.00pm. Materials for this service have been prepared by the churches in Indonesia. Everyone welcome. Highlights Klub on Monday, 28th January at 8.00pm in upper hall. Come along for an evening of Keep Fit and Dance. Music and Movement will meet on Tuesday, 29th January at 2.00pm in upper hall. Kingz Kidz Coffee Morning on Saturday, 2nd February in the John Finnie Street halls from 10.00am to 12noon. Tickets are ÂŁ1.50 and all contributions to the day would be appreciated, so if you would like to bake, run a stall, donate a gift for a raffle or stall table, then please hand in to the halls before the Saturday or on the day or for more information, please speak to Amy.


Welcome Group Meeting on Wednesday, 30th January at 7.30pm in Session Room. Guild will meet on Monday, 4th February at 7.15pm in lower hall. Bible Favourites. Guild of Friendship will meet on Thursday, 7th February at 2.00pm in lower hall. Bingo Afternoon. Articles are now required for inclusion in March issue of Magazine. These may be typed or handwritten and sent as email to the Editor or placed in Magazine pigeonhole in Session Room. Articles in Word format (Calibri 12 preferred). Final date for submissions is Sunday, 10th February. Please do not throw out all your Christmas postage stamps or unwanted postcards with stamps attached. Please give them to Esther Douglas for charities. Church Open and Welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. We urgently require a pool of volunteers, especially men, to welcome the visitors on a rota basis. We are particularly short of volunteers on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If you can help even occasionally, it would be most appreciated. Please speak to Helen Colman. Remember that the more volunteers there are, the less often you will be on duty! Open Doors. New Laigh Kirk will be opening its doors to all on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. The Church will be open for those who want to come for a period of solitude or reflection; to see the stained glass windows from the inside; or to find out some of the history of the church and town. New Laigh Kirk Volunteers - Needing help with shopping, DIY, gardening or a lift to medical appointments? Do you find reading difficult with failing eyesight?
