Welcome and Intimations A very warm welcome to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are glad you are here and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. We especially welcome Kirstan Campbell and Steven McDonald who bring Matilda for baptism this morning. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you. Tea and coffee will be served in the sanctuary immediately after the service. Worship on Sunday, 5th February is our Family Communion Service beginning at 11.00am. There is a creche facility for children under three years of age in the Session Room. If you are serving communion, please meet at 9.50am in the church. Imagine on Sunday, 5th February at 4.00pm in lower hall. A few copies of the Order of Service in large print are available. Please speak to a member of the duty team if you require one. Ayrshire Interfaith Group is holding an event called 'Knowing One Another - an Interfaith Conversation' this afternoon, 1.30pm to 3.00pm, at St Matthew's Church, Grassyards Road. It is hosted by Father Martin Chambers and includes speakers from Christian, Jewish and Muslim traditions. Highlights Klub on Monday, 30th January at 8.00pm in upper hall. Come along for a Tap Dance Workshop. The 'What on Earth am I here for' Home group on Monday, 30th January at 4 Seaford Street, 7.30pm-9.00pm. Tots Praise on Tuesday, 31st January at 10.15am in lower hall. Music and Movement on Tuesday, 31st January at 2.00pm in upper hall. Prayer Group will meet in church on Wednesday, 1st February at 7.00pm. All are welcome but if you cannot come in person, please leave a prayer request in the box in church or on our Facebook page. Magazine Collating and Stapling Team will meet on Thursday, 2nd February at 7.15pm in Session Room. Choir Practice on Thursdays at 7.30pm in the church. Kingz Kidz coffee morning tickets will be on sale today after the service. The coffee and BINGO morning will take place on Saturday, 4th February 10.00am-12noon. We hope you can support the kids of the Kirk. Welcome Group. Burns Supper on Saturday, 4th February at 6.30pm in lower hall. Tickets are available from members of the Welcome Group.


Guild will meet on Monday, 6th February at 7.15pm in lower hall. Come along and hear about Guild Project on "Feed the Minds". Friendship Group will meet on Wednesday, 8th February at 2.00pm in lower hall. Guild of Friendship on Thursday, 9th February at 2.00pm in lower hall. Come along for a Beetle Drive. On Saturday, 25th February, 7.30pm-10.00pm, a fantastic Family Music event will take place, featuring the Scottish music duo, Ginny and the tonic. There will be an interactive quiz as well as some dancing competitions for both adults and children! Tickets cost £5 each (£3 for children), with funds raised being donated to Bobath Scotland, the cerebral palsy centre. Tickets available from Forever Young on Bank Street or on Sunday mornings from Sara or Bethany. We hope you can support this event. Ticket price includes a buffet and selection of soft drinks.

Are you passionate about amateur dramatics or singing? Then join the production of From Darkness into Light, an Easter rock musical. Sara is looking for 18-20 members to form the chorus of the show, and 4 people to play the principal roles of Jesus, Mary, Pilate and Simon. There will also be additional solo song opportunities throughout the show. No previous experience is necessary to be part of the production - the only requirements are that you are enthusiastic and can attend a minimum of 6 rehearsals. Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, 1st February at 7.00pm in the church and continue on through February and March. The musical will take place on the stage in the New Laigh Kirk halls on two dates: Saturday, 22nd April at 7.00pm, Sunday, 23rd April at 3.00pm. Please consider joining us as we bring the Easter story to life! EACHa is very grateful for all your donations of toiletries for the hygiene packs. Anything you are able to bring is very much appreciated. Just now we would particularly welcome shaving gel/foam, disposable razors, shampoo and conditioner. Foodbank. Donations of non-perishable foods should be placed in the blue bin in the vestibule. Particularly welcome just now are UHT milk, tinned fruit, rice pudding, meat and vegetables. New volunteers are always welcome.
