New Testament reading campaign

Week 5 3rd April - 7th April 2017 We’re halfway through our New Testament reading campaign! This week, we’ll read the gospel of Matthew. If you find yourself “hitting a wall” this week, don’t worry. It’s only natural. We’ve covered a lot of ground, but we still have some distance to go. If this happens to you, try changing your routine. Read during a different time of day, listen to the audio for a chance of pace, or take your reading outside (if it’s nice out!). Whatever you do, keep at it. You’re only four weeks away from having read the entire New Testament! Enjoy the journey! Happy reading! Meet for an hour..... On Sunday 9th April 3.00pm in the hall Or Wednesday 12th April 10.00am in the church

Your Community Bible Experience Reading Plan Week 5 Matthew Matthew tells the story of Jesus from a distinctly Jewish perspective. This gospel is arranged into five major sections (not unlike the Torah, the first five books of the Jewish Bible). Through a combination of story and teaching, each section highlights a different theme of Jesus’ life and ministry. Day 21 p. 239-251 read until “…and not as their teachers of the law.” Matthew ch1 to ch7:29 Day 22 p. 251-262 read until “…new treasures as well as old.” Matthew ch7:30 to ch13:52 Day 23 p. 262-270 read until “…forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” Matthew ch13:53 to ch18:35 Day 24 p. 270-283 read until “…but the righteous to eternal life.” Matthew ch19 to ch25:46 Day 25 p. 283-290 Matthew ch26 read until the end of Matthew
