Welcome and Intimations A very warm welcome to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk at the start of Christian Aid Week. We are glad you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you. Tea and coffee will be served in the church immediately after the service. Imagine Praise Event is THIS AFTERNOON, 4.00pm to 5.30pm in NLK halls. Contemporary worship and buffet meal served. Articles for June issue of magazine should be emailed to Editor in Word format or placed in magazine pigeonhole in Session Room TODAY. Volunteers are needed for this year's Summer Club - Guardians of Ancora: Treasure Seekers. It runs from Monday, 31st July until Friday, 4th August with a kids' club from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and a teenage programme from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Help with registration, snacks, crafts and games as well as group leaders are all required for the kids' club. If you can help in any way, please let Sara know. There will be a short 5 minute meeting in the church TODAY after the service. Two teams of volunteers are required on Saturday, 20th May to fill skips from the rear of the Church Hall. The first skip will be filled, starting at 7.30am and a second will arrive to be filled around 12noon onwards. If you can help on either/both teams, please pass your name to Noel Patterson asap, in church or by email: noel01patterson@btinternet.com. N.B. You may wish to bring a packed lunch. Volunteers are required for Christian Aid house to house collection during the week 14th to 20th May and a Street Collection in the town centre on Saturday, 20th May and at Tesco Extra, West Shaw Street on Sunday, 21st May. If you can help with this, please contact Helen Colman. Seven-day devotional guides for Christian Aid Week and Christian Aid Envelopes available at the doors. Guild Rally on Monday, 15th May at 7.30pm in Dreghorn and Springside Parish Church. Guest speaker will be Rev Alastair Symington. Kirk Session Meeting on Tuesday, 16th May at 7.30pm in lower hall. NLK Walking Group - weekly Wednesday evening walks at 7.00pm (weather permitting) at the entrance to main car park, Dean Castle Country Park. Walk lasts around 45 minutes. All welcome. Highlights Klub. Trip to House for an Art Lover on Saturday, 20th May. Bus leaves at 10.30am and returns by 3.30pm. Fellowship of Kilmarnock Churches. Shared service of worship on Sunday, 21st May at 6.00pm at Salvation Army, Sturrock Street. Everyone welcome. Fellowship of Kilmarnock Churches: UK Parliament Election Hustings Debate will be held on Thursday, 1st June at 7.00pm in Howard Centre.
