Welcome A very warm welcome to our worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are delighted you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. We especially welcome Rev. Alastair Symington, formerly of Troon Old Parish Church. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you. Tea and coffee is served in the church immediately after the service, please join us for company and a catch up. Whether you are a guest or regular attender we invite you to find your welcome place among us, a place to belong, to join in regular worship, to join in the life of our Kirk. As part of the family of God and gifted with many and varying talents, we try to use these gifts to deepen our faith, care for each other, and to spread into our town and parish the good news of God’s love for all. Church News and Activities Kingz Kidz and Trekkers Prizegiving will take place on Sunday, 2nd June at 11.00am. Kingz Kidz and TrekkersNG meet in church at 10.50am and sit together. Tea and coffee will be served in the church immediately after the service. Fellowship of Kilmarnock Churches. Service TONIGHT at 6.30pm at St Kentigern’s Church with Reachout. Gifts of the People theme. Everyone welcome. Guild of Friendship. Outing to McKinnon Mills with lunch at Radstone Hotel on Thursday, 30th May. Bus will leave from outside Tannahill's in John Finnie Street at 11.30am. Keswick Ayrshire will be held from Friday, 31st May to Sunday, 2nd June from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Park Hotel. Guest speaker is Mr Jeremy McQuoid. Theme for evening session is "Confidence in Christ". There will be a Saturday morning session called "Confidence in the Bible". During the weekend Maud Kells will be sharing experience of serving in the Congo for over twenty years as a Missionary with WEC. Worship by Keswick Ayrshire Band. NLK Walking Group. The regular Wednesday evening summer walks continue on Wednesday, 29th May. Meet at 7.00pm every Wednesday (weather permitting) in the main car park at Dean Castle Country Park. NLK Walking Group's Annual 'Grand Day Out' to Arran. Weather permitting, this will take place on SATURDAY, 1st June (with 8th June as a fallback in case of inclement weather). We will catch the 9.45am ferry from Ardrossan. Please arrive at the ferry terminal no later than half an hour prior to departure. Adult foot passenger return fare is ÂŁ8. There are a range of times for return ferries. We often have a meal together either before catching a return ferry, or in the Ardrossan area. There will be a choice of routes, to suit a range of walking interests and abilities, including the easier Fisherman's Trail route. Anyone doing a longer route should bring a packed lunch. Fisherman's Trail walkers usually buy a snack lunch at the bistro at Wineport. Brodick Castle is open once again, and is a National Trust property, so if you are a member of NTS and would like to visit the Castle and Grounds, bring along your membership card. If you require, or can offer transport to/from Ardrossan, please email Helen Colman by TODAY at the latest. What A Wonder-Full World! - Saturday, 8th June 7.00pm in Kay Park Parish Church, Kilmarnock: An evening celebrating the wonders of the universe, life and the big questions, featuring music, drama, conversation with astronomer Dr Deborah Haarsma and film excerpts from The God Question TV series.
