Kingz Kidz and Trekkers Prizegiving will take place on Sunday, 4th June at 11.00am. Kingz Kidz and TrekkersNG meet in church at 10.50am and sit together. There will be a creche facility for children under three years of age in the Session Room. Tea and coffee will be served in the church immediately after the service. A few copies of the Order of Service in large print are available. Please speak to a member of the duty team if you require one. On the occasion of Barbara Urquhart's retirement an opportunity will be made to donate towards a retirement gift this morning and next Sunday. Please place your donation in an envelope marked "Barbara Urquhart" and place it in the offering plate when the offering is uplifted. If donating by cheque please make it payable to New Laigh Kirk and write Barbara's name on the back. Thank you for your generosity. NLK Walking Group - weekly Wednesday evening walks at 7.00pm (weather permitting) at the entrance to main car park, Dean Castle Country Park. Walk lasts around 45 minutes. All welcome. A date for your Diary - We are having another 'Big Day Out' Walking Trip to Arran on Saturday, 10th June. Three walks: Fisherman's Trail, Glen Rosa and Goat Fell. Please check website and NLK Facebook page for updates. Anyone interested in doing the Goatfell walk should contact Derek I'Anson. If you require transport, please contact Derek or Shirley Auld. There will be a short meeting after the service on Sunday, 4th June. Fellowship of Kilmarnock Churches: UK Parliament Election Hustings Debate will be held on Thursday, 1st June at 7.00pm in Howard Centre. Candidates for Kilmarnock and Loudoun Constituency will state their case and answer questions. Magazine Collating and Stapling Team will meet on Thursday, 1st June at 7.15pm in Session Room. Car Treasure Hunt. Tickets for treasure hunt on Friday, 2nd June are still available from Margaret Brown and Bill Sherry. Welcome Group. A brief meeting will be held today immediately after the service. The Presbyteries of Ardrossan, Ayr, and Irvine and Kilmarnock have arranged a conference to be held in Kay Park Church on Saturday, 3rd June from 10.00am to 3.30pm. The cost will be ÂŁ10. Expect the usual cakes and coffee on the theme "Charlie and the

Celebration of Eldership Service on Sunday, 4th June at 7.00pm in St Andrew's and St Marnock's Parish Church. The service will be conducted by Revd Colin Strong, Moderator of the Presbytery. The Guest Speaker this year will be Mr Steven Owens, Congregational Facilitator, on “ Moving from passive to active faith.” Tea and coffee will be served in hall after the service. This service is not exclusive to Elders and all are welcome. Imagine Summer BBQ will be held on Sunday, 11th June from 4.00pm to 5.30pm in the halls. Reachout praise band from St Kentigern’s will lead us in our celebration worship. World Mission News June/July 2017 available at doors. Volunteers are needed for this year's Summer Club - Guardians of Ancora: Treasure Seekers. It runs from Monday, 31st July until Friday, 4th August with a kids' club from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and a teenage programme from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Help with registration, snacks, crafts and games as well as group leaders are all required for the kids' club. If you can help in any way, please let Sara know. Church Open and Welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. We urgently require a pool of volunteers, especially men, to welcome the visitors on a rota basis. Please speak to Helen Colman. Remember that the more volunteers there are, the less often you will be on duty! Open Doors. New Laigh Kirk will now be opening its doors to all on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 12noon to 2.00pm. The Church will be open for those who want to come for a period of solitude or reflection; to see the newly restored stained glass windows from the inside; or to find out some of the history of the church and town.
