Romans 10:5-15

Eternal Father strong to save arr. Military Wives St Matthew 14:22-33 At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, every tongue confess him King of Glory now. 'Tis the Father's pleasure we should call him Lord, who from the beginning was the mighty Word: Humbled for a season, to receive a name from the lips of sinners unto whom he came, faithfully he bore it spotless to the last, brought it back victorious when from death he passed. Christians, this Lord Jesus shall return again, with his Father's glory, with his angel train; for all wreaths of empire meet upon his brow,

and our hearts confess him King of Glory now. Prayer of Intercession Dear Lord and Father of mankind, forgive our foolish ways; reclothe us in our rightful mind; in purer lives they service find, in deeper reverence, praise, in deeper reverence, praise. In simple trust like theirs who heard, beside the Syrian sea, the gracious calling of the Lord, let us, like them, without a word rise up and follow thee, rise up and follow thee. O Sabbath rest by Galilee! O calm of hills above, where Jesus knelt to share with thee the silence of eternity, interpreted by love! interpreted by love! With that deep hush subduing all our words and works that drown the tender whisper of thy call, as noiseless let thy blessing fall as fell thy manna down, as fell thy manna down. Drop they still dews of quietness, till all our strivings cease; take from our souls the strain and stress, and let our ordered lives confess

the beauty of thy peace, the beauty of thy peace. Breathe through the hearts of our desire thy coolness and thy balm; let sense be dumb, let flesh retire; speak through the earthquake, wind and fire, O still small voice of calm! O still small voice of calm! Sermon Prayer of Dedication O Jesus, I have promised to serve thee to the end: be thou ever near me, my Master and my friend; I shall not fear the battle if thou art by my side, nor wander from the pathway if thou wilt be my guide. O Jesus, thou hast promised to all who follow thee, that where thou art in glory there shall thy servant be; and, Jesus I have promised to serve thee to the end; O give me grace to follow, my Master and my friend. O let me see thy footmarks, and in them plant mine own; My hope to follow duly is in thy strength alone. O guide me, call me, draw me, uphold me to the end;

and then in heaven receive me, my Saviour and my Friend.

Benediction
