Romans 14:1-12

Make me a channel of your peace Reading

St Matthew 18:21-35

Dear Lord and Father of mankind, forgive our foolish ways;

reclothe us in our rightful mind; in purer lives they service find, in deeper reverence, praise, in deeper reverence, praise. In simple trust like theirs who heard, beside the Syrian sea, the gracious calling of the Lord, let us, like them, without a word rise up and follow thee, rise up and follow thee. O Sabbath rest by Galilee! O calm of hills above, where Jesus knelt to share with thee the silence of eternity, interpreted by love! interpreted by love! With that deep hush subduing all our words and works that drown the tender whisper of thy call, as noiseless let thy blessing fall as fell thy manna down, as fell thy manna down. Drop they still dews of quietness, till all our strivings cease; take from our souls the strain and stress, and let our ordered lives confess the beauty of thy peace, the beauty of thy peace. Breathe through the hearts of our desire thy coolness and thy balm; let sense be dumb, let flesh retire; speak through the earthquake, wind and fire, O still small voice of calm! O still small voice of calm! Prayer of Intercession You were the Word at the beginning One With God the Lord Most High

Your hidden glory in creation Now revealed in You our Christ What a beautiful Name it is What a beautiful Name it is The Name of Jesus Christ my King What a beautiful Name it is Nothing compares to this What a beautiful Name it is The Name of Jesus You didn't want heaven without us So Jesus, You brought heaven down My sin was great, Your love was greater What could separate us now What a wonderful Name it is What a wonderful Name it is The Name of Jesus Christ my King What a wonderful Name it is Nothing compares to this What a wonderful Name it is The Name of Jesus What a wonderful Name it is The Name of Jesus How sweet is your name, Lord, how good You are Love to sing in the name of the Lord, love to sing for you all? Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You You silenced the boast, of sin and grave The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory For You are raised to life again You have no rival, You have no equal Now and forever, Our God reigns Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory Yours is the Name, above all names What a powerful Name it is What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus Christ my King What a powerful Name it is

Nothing can stand against What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus You have no rival, You have no equal Now and forever, Our God reigns Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory Yours is the Name, above all names What a powerful Name it is What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus Christ my King What a powerful Name it is Nothing can stand against What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus Sermon Prayer of Dedication Lift up your hearts!' We lift them, Lord, to thee; here at thy feet none other may we see: Lift up your hearts! E'en so, with one accord, we lift them up, we lift them to the Lord. Above the level of the former years, the mire of sin, the slough of guilty fears, the mist of doubt, the blight of love's decay, O Lord of light, lift all our hearts to-day. Above the swamps of subterfuge and shame, the deeds, the thoughts, that honour may not name, the halting tongue that dares not tell the whole, O Lord of truth, lift every Christian soul. Lift every gift that thou thyself hast given: low lies the best till lifted up to heaven; low lie the bounding heart, the teeming brain,

till, sent from God, they mount to God again. Then, as the trumpet-call in after years, Lift up your hearts! rings pealing in our ears, still shall those hearts respond with full accord, We lift them up, we lift them to the Lord! Benediction
