EACHa's Home from Home project, run in conjunction with St John's Onthank, began in January this year, and is becoming very popular. It takes place in St John's hall every Friday from 4.00pm till 6.00pm, and provides families with a hot meal, along with activities such as games, quizzes and crafts. Due to increasing popularity, we'd be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer with us on a rota basis. We are looking for people to help in the kitchen - no cooking required - or to lead or help with games and activities for nursery and primary age children. Please get in touch with Janice Grant, Tel: 07581 722331, if you'd like to know more about what is involved. Copies of World Mission News August/September 2017 available. Foodbank. Ayrshire East Foodbank is currently very short of food, and is struggling to supply food parcels to voucher holders at the nine foodbanks throughout East Ayrshire. They would very much appreciate donations of non-perishable food of all kinds, in particular longlife milk, tinned meat, fruit, rice pudding, custard and vegetables. Food can be placed in the blue tub in the church porch any Sunday, or delivered directly to the CVO at 16 Brewery Road, Kilmarnock. Church Open and Welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. We urgently require a pool of volunteers, especially men, to welcome the visitors on a rota basis. Please speak to Helen Colman. Remember that the more volunteers there are, the less often you will be on duty.
