I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge Thank You to the church for making a huge contribution to our ‘#72forHaiti’ fundraising event. At the time of writing, Iain and I have raised a total of £1648.10 including Gift Aid towards the building of a school in Haiti of which a large chunk has been given from members of New Laigh Kirk. On the day, Iain and I played reasonably good golf on what we were told was the hottest day of the year. We had support from family and friends with them caddying, feeding and videoing us. It was a lot of fun and thankfully we are still friends and like golf. Iain in the end won by 5 shots. Thank you very much again and in the near future I will be able to show pictures of the school in Haiti coming together! NLK Walking Group. Church Open and Welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. We urgently require a pool of volunteers, especially men, to welcome the visitors on a rota basis. We are particularly short of volunteers on Wednesdays. If you could help even occasionally, it would be most appreciated. Please speak to Helen Colman. Remember that the more volunteers there are, the less often you will be on duty! Open Doors.
