Worship on Sunday, 29th September will be our Harvest Thanksgiving Service conducted by the Minister beginning at 11.00am. The congregation and Kingz Kidz are invited to present goods for Harvest with a long shelf life such as tinned food, packet food, pasta, rice, barley, lentils, sugar, etc. These goods will be distributed by the Salvation Army. Kingz Kidz are looking for donations of clean, large blankets and pillows for our Story Time. If people have these, could they please leave them in the church halls for Amy Tanner. Music For All @ New Laigh Kirk. Members are reminded of the Let's All Sing Event tonight at 7.00pm in the Church (doors open 6.30pm.) Come along and join in whether or not you consider yourself to be a singer! The Church Choirs will lead the singing with different types of accompaniment including a quartet from Kilmarnock Concert Brass. The Hymns and Songs are well known and uplifting. The choir from Loanhead Primary School will also perform. The event is free so please encourage others to attend. There will be an opportunity to contribute to Crossreach, the Church of Scotland charity, at the end. Music at the Movies on Friday, 4th October at 7.30pm in the Church. Join us to enjoy celebrated music-making movie magic from some of cinema’s most loved film scores, performed by Newmilns and Galston Band with guest vocalist, Lynne Kenmuir. There will be the opportunity to contribute to EACHa (East Ayrshire Churches Homelessness Action). New session of the Guild starts on Monday, 23rd September at 7.15pm in lower hall. Rev. David Cameron will lead us in Communion. Tots Praise will meet on Tuesday, 24th September from 10.15am to 11.15am in lower hall. Music and Movement will meet on Tuesday, 24th September at 2.00pm in upper hall. Rainbows will meet from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in upper hall and Brownies from 6.30pm to 8.00pm in lower hall on Wednesday, 25th September.


Guides will meet on Wednesday, 25th September from 7.30pm to 9.00pm in upper hall. The Choir Practice will meet on Thursday, 26th September at 7.30pm in the church. 4th/5th Kilmarnock Boys' Brigade will meet on Friday, 27th September. Anchor Boys: For boys aged 5+ and in P1 to P3, 6.00pm at St Andrew's and St Marnock's Church Halls. Junior Section: For boys in P4 to P6, 7.00pm at St Andrew's and St Marnock's Church Halls. Company Section: For boys in P7 to S6, 7.00pm at New Laigh Kirk Halls, John Finnie Street. Presbytery Prayer Meeting on Saturday, 28th September from 10.00am to 10.45am in Stewarton St Columba's Church. Tea and coffee will be served from 9.30am. Everyone welcome. The Kirk Session and Congregational Board are hosting this year's Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, on Saturday, 28th September, 10.00am till noon, in the John Finnie Street hall. Tickets are now on sale. Donations of items for the bottle stall and raffle prizes will be very much appreciated, and can be brought to church next Sunday. The hall will also be open on Friday, 27th September from 12noon till 3.00pm for donations of prizes, bottles and home baking. NLK Walking Group’s September Monthly Walk will take place around Irvine Harbourside on Sunday, 29th September, weather permitting. Meet at 2.00pm in the car parking area in Harbourside, just beside the Maritime Museum entrance to the Puffer Cafe. Everyone welcome for the last but one walk for 2019. If you require or can offer transport please contact Ellen Stewart. Fellowship of Kilmarnock Churches. Service on Sunday, 29th September at 7.00pm in New Laigh Kirk. Theme will be "My Homeless Neighbour", echoing the support which many local churches give to the work of EACHa (East Ayrshire Churches Homelessness Action) in relieving the distress caused by poverty. Everyone welcome.

Guild of Friendship will resume on Thursday, 3rd October at 2.00pm in lower hall with Rev. David Cameron. New members welcome. Elders who have not ordered the Kirk Session photograph may do so now. If you have ordered, then a payment of ÂŁ3 can be made to Margaret Patterson or Derek I'Anson. Found Property: Two items of jewellery and some coins were found on the pathway outside the Church after the 9.30am service on Sunday, 4th August. If they belong to you, please contact Ken Stewart. Thanks to everyone for the kind donations to the Ayrshire East Food Bank. In short supply just now are tinned rice and custard; fruit; tinned tomatoes; tinned meat. All the donations are very much appreciated by the families who receive the emergency food parcels. EACHa runs a drop-in for homeless and vulnerable people in our John Finnie Street halls on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. On offer is food, friendship, advice and hope for the future. Volunteers are always welcome, to help prepare the food or to make our guests feel welcome. To find out more, contact EACHa's Secretary, Janice Grant. Church Open and Welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. We urgently require a pool of volunteers, especially men, to welcome the visitors on a rota basis. We are particularly short of volunteers on Wednesdays and Saturdays. If you can help even occasionally, it would be most appreciated. Please speak to Helen Colman. Remember that the more volunteers there are, the less often you will be on duty! Open Doors. New Laigh Kirk will be opening its doors to all on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 12noon to 2.00pm. The Church will be open for those who want to come for a period of solitude or reflection; to see the stained glass windows from the inside; or to find out some of the history of the church and town.
