New Laigh Kirk A Place to Belong
Welcome to Worship Re-Dedication Service Sunday 7th October 2018
New Laigh Kirk - A place to belong A very warm welcome to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are delighted you accepted our invitation to join us for our Rededication Service and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you and join us for tea and coffee served in the church immediately after the service. In our service today you will see that there are many people of all ages seeking to serve within New Laigh Kirk as well as the wider community. As part of the family of God and gifted with many and varying talents, we try to use these to deepen our faith, care for each other, and to spread into our town and parish the good news of God’s love for all, When a body is alive it is always growing and developing, and facing the challenges of the future. Our church’s past heritage has been such a wonderful example of this and we are thankful and excited about the continuing challenge ahead for us all as we strive to realise our vision of
A caring welcoming church at the heart of Kilmarnock reaching out to all On behalf of New Laigh Kirk I welcome you all and offer a warm invitation whether you are a guest or regular attender to find your welcome place among us, to join in regular worship, to join in the life of our Kirk in whatever capacity and in your own appropriate way, and to be a Christian example to one and all. May God richly Bless you now and always.

Hymn 641
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
All Age Address Come, people of the risen King, Who delight to bring him praise, Come, all and tune your hearts to sing To the Morning Star of grace. From the shifting shadows of the earth We will lift our eyes to Him, Where steady arms of mercy reach To gather children in. Rejoice! Rejoice! Let ev’ry tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice, O Church of Christ, rejoice! Come, those whose joy is morning sun And those weeping through the night. Come, those who tell of battles won, And those struggling in the fight. For his perfect love will never change, And his mercies never cease, But follow us through all our days With the certain hope of peace. Rejoice‌.. Come, young and old from every land, Men and women of the faith. Come, those with full or empty hands, Find the riches of His grace.
Over all the world His people sing, Shore to shore we hear them call The truth that cries through every age; Our God is all in all. Rejoice….. Repeat Chorus…. Act of Rededication The Lord’s my shepherd, I’ll not want; He makes me lie in pastures green. He leads me by the still, still waters, His goodness restores my soul. And I will trust in You alone, And I will trust in You alone, For Your endless mercy follows me, Your goodness will lead me home. He guides my ways in righteousness, And He anoints my head with oil, And my cup, it overflows with joy, I feast on His pure delights. And though I walk the darkest path, I will not fear the evil one, For You are with me, and Your rod and staff Are the comfort I need to know. Offering Prayer of Dedication including prayers for the church, for the world and for others Hymn 465
