Welcome A very warm welcome to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are glad you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. New Laigh Kirk - a place to belong Whether you are a guest or regular attender we invite you to find your welcome place among us, a place to belong, to join in regular worship, to join in the life of our Kirk in whatever capacity and in your own appropriate way. You will see that there are many people of all ages seeking to serve within New Laigh Kirk as well as the wider community. As part of the family of God and gifted with many and varying talents, we try to use these to deepen our faith, care for each other, and to spread into our town and parish the good news of God’s love for all. May God richly bless you in your worship today.

Offering/Doxology (Hymn 810 Sing to the Lord of heaven and earth) Prayer of Dedication You’re the word of God the Father, From before the world began; Every star and every planet Has been fashioned by Your hand. All creation holds together By the power of Your voice: Let the skies declare Your glory, Let the land and seas rejoice! You're the Author of creation, You're the Lord of every man; And Your cry of love rings out Across the lands. Yet You left the gaze of angels, Came to seek and save the lost, And exchanged the joy of heaven For the anguish of a cross. With a prayer You fed the hungry, With a word You stilled the sea; Yet how silently You suffered That the guilty may go free. With a shout You rose victorious, Wresting victory from the grave, And ascended into heaven Leading captives in Your wake. Now You stand before the Father Interceding for Your own. From each tribe and tongue and nation You are leading sinners home. Benediction

Very many thanks indeed to everyone who has supported the Heritors Challenge Fund. We have had generous donations from members, through gifts and legacies and from our Church organisations, for which we are most grateful. Whilst the Fund will remain open and further donations will always be welcome I do not propose to continue to report progress weekly through the Service Sheet. The total raised to date is £56,800 and I very much appreciate the help of everyone who has contributed. This sum is in a separate Bank Account not for general use. The Christian Aid House to House Collection raised the grand total of £3,445.95. Collections in town centre raised £84.62. This could not have been achieved without the efforts of all those who took part in the collections and everyone who donated so generously.
